We teared when we heard the Proclamation of Independence,

We sang with pride our Majulah Singapura,

We saluted when we recited our National Pledge.

This is our country, Singapore and this is forever our Home !

We may not totally agree with one another, or the current government and it's policies.

But we can't don't love Singapore, for this is our home. No other place will feel the same, our mixed flavour cuisine, the ever-present singlish, various version of Kopi and Teh, and our love and hate relationship with acronyms. This is uniquely Singapore.

I believe, as long as our Singaporean core is strong, foreigners will not be able to change our way of life no matter what.

HAPPY 50th BIRTHDAY SINGAPORE!!!

Well said. Happy birthday Singapore!

Honestly I'm shacked out by yesterday. Haha today just spend it indoors.

Turbocharged

This is going to be a really long shot but it doesn't hurt to try - if anyone has parade tickets but for some reason is unable to attend, please drop me a private message, I'll go collect them from you. I'd love to go but had no luck with the ballot.

Thanks.

One significant change in Singapore is our transport vehicle. Having extendable rocket train will increase capacity of one ride and allow less waiting time. The trains will travel in modern tunnels. Both the trains and tunnels will run on solar energy. We will have no jam on roads. Everyone will be happy."

This may be the last year Kit chan will be performing the theme song, Home, on ndp. =(

It is a song that resonates well with many of us. Here is the part that i find most meaningful and just to share it here:

"This is home truly, where I know I must be

Where my dreams wait for me, where the river always flows

This is home surely, as my senses tell me

This is where I won't be alone, for this is where I know it's home"

Thank you all for making this my and our home, in ways big and small. Looking forward to joining all singaporeans to sing our national anthem loud and proud later today.
