Yuan 6th Gear July 14, 2015 Share July 14, 2015 Van was speeding & traveling straight from the beginning of video for a good 20 seconds before impact. Don't think he fell asleep. There is a slight bend where the van hit the kerb. I say guilty of using phone. These are the type of drivers that posed a danger & cause harm to other road users. It's lucky that there is no vehicles on the opposite direction. I think the driver's attention was taken off for a second. May be using the phone or something else. Yes. It is a good thing that there is no vehicle on the opposite side of the road. I should be a couple of cars behind TS and kudos for the assistance rendered to the van. No matter you high beam on honk, they will just like king of the road. Is time traffic police to do something

Is time traffic police to do something Fully agreed, seen many delivery van and lorry at the area speeding esp those that company are there..it seem they are always rushing back to their company to draw goods or rush to return their van/lorry so that they can go home quick.
Watwheels Supersonic July 14, 2015 Share July 14, 2015 Be careful what you wish for. Whatever enforcement applies to vans and lorries applies to cars as well.
Count-Bracula Twincharged July 14, 2015 Share July 14, 2015 wow...fella drove straight eventhough there is a slight bend....a moment of inattentiveness can lead to serious accident....hope the driver is ok. Tsk tsk tsk . . . mount kerb and peng. Rolled over a few times, hope his seat belt did it's job and driver not too badly hurt. Must be either looking at phone or dozing off . . . Drive safe everyone! Fully agreed, seen many delivery van and lorry at the area speeding esp those that company are there..it seem they are always rushing back to their company to draw goods or rush to return their van/lorry so that they can go home quick. Better late than never. Why the need to rush? Lao sai?
Yuan 6th Gear July 14, 2015 Share July 14, 2015 Be careful what you wish for. Whatever enforcement applies to vans and lorries applies to cars as well. That is a very long stretch of straight road, starting from exit of expressway all the way till Admiralty Road West. And this is the problem of this road. So straight and so nice to drive that almost every driver will be tempted to depress the accelerator harder till they are speeding way past the road speed limit of 70 km/h, be it cars, lorries or trucks etc. It is high time that the authorities enforce some form of action on this road before something else happens. And yes, I know what I am asking because I use this straight road everyday.

Maersk1 1st Gear July 14, 2015 Author Share July 14, 2015 Either fell asleep or dreaming. Either way, confirm tio pok. GG. according to the van driver, he claims that there is sudden black out while driving and that's why his van mounted the curb. +1 . Take Ave 12 every other morning and you could see all heavy vehicles would just take up all lanes and hog all the way. Traffic Police please do something. +2, a lot heavy vehicles been occupying the most extreme right lane all the way.....whether you honk or high beam also useless
cllq 6th Gear July 14, 2015 Share July 14, 2015 I also use this road everyday. Even heavy vehicles like to hog Lane 1. I rather see enforcement here then to see more accident occur. And at the beginning of Ave 12 from SLE, roads super bumpy cos of road works

No matter you high beam on honk, they will just like king of the road. Is time traffic police to do something Pardon me, if you say they speed and you high beam or honk, it means you want to speed even faster than them. Speed limit there is only 70km/h I believe...and it applies to all vehicles. Woodlands Ave 12 is not an expressway.
