Slightly better but after that nowhere compared to the Mazda 3. Whether is it in sports mode or not.

Do you feel any vibration from the 3 cycl engine? Is it rough during acceleration?

Car so new. If test drive cars like this then they really have a big problem with selling any.

116i to buy the logo at front and back la ... not for driving pleasure ... lol

I agree.. engine have been detuned too much. In fact the direct competitor from Merc camp is A160, which is not even sold here.

If buying 116i, ECU tuning is strongly recommended to bump the power up. Only downside is AD warranty is at risk of being voided.

BMW 3 cyl 1.5L unit (B38) is a nightmare when used in start/stop mode.

NVH I would rate it as 1/10 in a MINI One.

Only credit is once on the move, all is good coupled with a sporty low drone exhaust note.

i din know Mazda improve their engine so much...

i had the mazda 3sp, the mazda 3 wo the mild hybrid... both have serious lack of pick up and probably above 80km/h range.

end of the day bmw @ 120k will have plenty of suitors esp at this coe level.

code to default off. any car with start stop also night mare to me

my opinion only: the B38 in the F20, is pretty sweet for city driving like SG. but it lacks tuning options of the previous 4 cylinder.

compare B38 to other 3 cylinders, i think the vibrations is minimal.

mazda skyactiv-G is not bad

again mazda is never a "sprinter" ... pick up and acceleration CMI

but it's engine skyactiv-G mated with 6sp AT is perfect match in its class for sushi and kimchi

If not for warranty voidance issue, I would have tune it in JB. $600-$700

the 116i is detune, so is the mini 1

same engine n everything as the 118i which somehow makes it into cat b for singapore.

easily tune up to 170 to 180 hp, torque i believe would not be so big a jump...

Not that Mazda is CMI, just that the RHD is not available for us.

we should be content with the 1.5L NA ... just suck thumb and drive ...

Haha the SE was telling me try the sports mode on the 116i. I stepped on the gas and it definitely didn't wow me at all.

The best 1 was F20/21 with IL6 & RWD.

120 is the best compromise.
