Hi all, would like to seek your advice on this case

My best friend received a letter Writ of Summons from the lawyer representing the bank.

The letter has given him within 8 days for 2 choices

Admit the claim or Dispute the claim

If he Admit the claim, does he require to pay the amount claimed and costs of $800 to the Plaintiff or his solicitor within 8 days from the date of the letter.

Kindly advised.

Thanks

Then how much is the claim for then??

Is it interest related?? or for non payment of certain charges or is it for principal non repayment, margin call, finance ... or something else??... nowadays bank sell so many products, exotic ones also for high end high net worth individuals until it get really complicated

As a Bank they must have exhausted the normal avenues reasonably hard like coming to a new payment plan before they shoot Demand Letters

Option 1. Admit claim.. Nego with bank for repayment.. Can also nego for composite settlement. Must pay lawyer fees incurred by bank.

Option 2. Deny claim. Must show proof to court of law.. Good luck.
