I thought it is against the law if we never update or inform LTA our car colour when we changed it (if spray it someday)?

 

Just hope LTA won't suspect we changed from Silver to Grey (sparkling metal) without informing LTA or seek approval.

Maybe I worry too much. haha...

Same concern, but I'm think should be fine as all sparkling metal take as silver.

I tot the sparking metal looks more like grey? Shld name it as GREY since this color is not taken up, rather than naming it as SILVER again for the same model and make people confused.

those car color indicated in the registration/log card is set by LTA, they just group all similar colors into general color labels, like silver, black, white, red, blue etc... they do not list specific model colors as there can be hundreds of different names for similar colors and many brands got creative color names too (which can be abit ambiguous).

try connecting with another USB data cable, sometime it's due to the cable not meant for data, or the cable connector faulty/loose (usually that's the case).

 

also make sure your iPhone is updated with the latest iOS version.

 

best to test with the original iPhone data cable that is in good condition.

 

if still cannot work then bring back to KMC to check the system.

If your existing car is already traded in to Komoco, then there should be no rush to collect your new Elantra.

 

Leave the job to the dealers who would be chasing Komoco to hand over your existing car - the value keeps dropping everyday.

I wrote to LTA yesterday and this morning LTA called me. LTA said they only have general colours like grey, black, blue....etc. no such thing as Sparkling Metal. So she suggested me to change it myself on OneMotoring from Silver to Grey if it really looks more towards Grey.

Or else, she suggested us to leave it as Silver for now. So it is up to ourselves. She said we can change it any time and provided we don't change to something drastic like Black, Blue, Yellow, Red or Green. I have not tried though.

 

Whether can change to Grey and Silver, then I don't know. Not sure.

My arrangement with most SEs, including Komoco's, is such that the existing ride will only be traded in and exchanged on the day when I collect the new car, even though the trade in price has already been decided months before.
