Is it normal to hear deep creaky sound from rear suspension when the passengers and drivers starts to disembark from the car when the car is put to P? Kia K3 seems to have similar issue which is normal, not sure about elantra???

So far no for me. Passengers weight all below 80KG each

Drive straight in..  Get them to repair / replace under warranty. If they try to push or delay then you ask to speak to their manager. Reason it out with them. How to drive without AC in SG climate?

Hi

Thanks for your detailed explanation.

My previous car 1.8 litre, CVT transmission, hit 100km/h at 1750 rpm. It is good to know more on this car (Elantra) on the performance characteristics.

Hyundai and kia are slightly different from say a nissan cvt. Thereis significant engineering in there which seems to drive better.

Hi,

my previous car was a japanese PI car. I used to let the engine idle and run the air-con for an hour or so, as I had my first child who liked to nap in the car.

Within 3 years, the compressor started to give problems, after refrigerant leaked from one of the valves.

After replacing the valve and topping up refrigerant, it was ok. But every year or so, I had to top up refrigerant. Finally, the car air-con specialist workshop recommended replacing the whole air-con compressor, pipings and condenser, then the leak problem went away.

The technician also recommended switching off air-con a minute or two before reaching destination and just run in fan mode, to remove condensation on cooling coils to prevent mold and bad smells.

To be expected lar... your aircon is extracting heat but as your car is stationary, the heat extracted has nowhere to go... so it builds up inside the bonnet and all the relevant rubber and silicone gaskets and seals will all get worn out faster... your compressor is running on maximum power to keep the car cool as a result... sure die faster lar...

Been doing that for years since i met my wife and have kids.

Altis changed compressor etc at 5 years old. My current car just about 4 years, bo taichi.

I don't really think it's an issue at all.

To have no AC problems in our climate over a lifespan of a car is just heng suay. If Idling is an issue here in singapore, i guess cars would just die in 40 degree weather in Middle east and Texas etc?

Summers in other countries, easily is 37-38 degrees one.

Kid vomitted in car in afternoon. Immediately wind down windows and on hot air as I heard one bro/sis shared before the smell stays in car. Luckily for me the smell went off in the evening. Just sharing..

No issue they will use your oil but they will charge you for the oil filter change unless you bring your own as well.
