What?

No keyless entry

No keyless engine start/stop

I know 1.0l is entry level but this lack of features is standard or optional?

It is standard, not way it can be added. Factory from U.K. is designed like this.

Manual should attract some market. Maybe more fun than KM Civic Type R and cheaper by more than $50k.

Their golden years are certainly over when they tried to scrimp. Too many compromises.

1) Turbo charging Vtec

2) Dropping proprietary double wishbone suspension to save cost.

3) Could not get their act right in F1.

And many more..

Look at latest Honda Civic Type R

1. Turbo charged VTEC 300hp

2. Manual ONLY

3. Double wishbone suspension.

It is THE fastest FWD car on Nurburgring

this is some interesting stuff u wrote.

1) what is wrong with turbocharging vtec?

2) for their normal road cars, does it make any difference?

3) whether they get their act right in F1 or not, how does it matter for their road cars?

And not forgetting 90s specs on some of their cars.

Had a '82 COE Honda Accord b4. Smooth & quiet. Quality feel about it. Now honda feels like any typical jap car w buzzy engines, poor NVH.

not sure i have missed out or just for Hokkaido. I have been here for 10 days and I dont see any civic or even altis. So the trend over in Singapore is very different here. many Toyota and Honda though.

Civic has been out of production in Japan since the 9th generation. Maybe you can see a few FD Civics if you are lucky.

Corolla Altis is only meant for SEA market only and is not manufactured in Japan. The Japanese version is the Corolla Axio which is the JDM version we see selling in PIs here.

So you won't see those cars you mentioned in Japan, much.
