Jialiat liao ... more million dollar pay means more taxes and thats already starting [bigcry]

Just hope that Tharman don't step down. He could still play a big role in economics advisor. Current new generation leaders lack of that that's what I feel.

Our gobblermen suppose to increase jobs for pmet and the rank and files, but instead they increase more ministers.

To increase jobs for pmet, we need to reduce regulations not increase it. Increase in regulatory requirements means it is more difficult for companies to set up businesses in Singapore and also need to set aside more money to comply with so many regulations.

I'm afraid there will be more regulations in lieu of more ministers in the cabinet. Since the increase of MIWs for the past leadership, we see nothing but more regulations and bureaucracies stifling more of the lives of the citizens as well and paying more and more for these inefficiencies, which in fact increase the number of problems (merely an action of plugging holes on a cracking pipe), rather than looking into the real root problems.

This move seems rather useless as in adding more inefficiencies and costs to the people and businesses on an already inefficient and most expensive cabinet. This move is probably believed to be more of a political agenda instead of actually improving things.

Paying more for more inefficiency. These people are still wondering why productivity don't improve.

Probably we should look into this if they keep increasing the number of MIWs.

Add more MIWs, slash their salaries based the fixed budget set aside paying these clowns?

Yes that's the problem. So hopefully pm lee recognize that and reduce the number of ministers in the cabinet. Try to keep cabinet as small as possible and not as big as possible..

You are asking the very same person who created this problem and continue with this problem, to solve the problem?  [thumbsdown]

Don't pin too much hopes on this clown. This move is more likely to be a political agenda than really improving things.

One day? He has been PM since 2004 (13 years already).

Think he should be stepping down soon. You should hope the next guy has the courage to correct Hsien Loong's mistakes.

Don't think he will, since he still do not realise his million dollar salary is a big mistake to the taxpayers.

Now the only hope is to change the PM asap. A change of person can change things seen in other perspectives.

Ya ... getting more expensive and not delivering results.

Previous cabinets more value for money and more committed to overall good.

For some part also partly need to blame us too. Who ask us keep kao pei government never do much to stop influx of foreign workers, kao pei about companies exploit workers an etc. Then government have no choice but to step in an set regulations. But you know what should government never step in to set regulations, life still goes on. Yes for some maybe affected, but hey they could quit job and find other better job right? It is precisely they could not find other better job and that's why they stay put.

I am also not denying the fact that government size is getting better and their paycheck also very high too..

I for one (and I'm sure there are many more) cannot relate to this current generation of Ministars. Practically all have achieved nothing in real world but go round preaching their own theories supported by their own army of sycophants; all of whom hoping to benefit from their association with the cabinet.

Josephine Ong and Lim Sia Suay go round making controversial statements like Philip Yeo, thinking they are like him and can stir or inspire people with their "out of box" ideas. Although they worked for him and tried to pick up a trick or two from their previous boss, they lack the credibility to put it off. In fact, they have sounded absolutely stupid and ridiculous whenever they open their CB mouth.

Practically every Ministar have their sense of self importance supported by each other of similar breed. They have totally forgotten they are here FOR the people and not have the people support them blindly.

I better stop here now before my blood pressure rise further thinking about this totally useless bunch of overpaid clowns.
