Michelin Pilot Sport 4

To be fair, i pressed the sidewall of the PS4 and then felt that it was soft compared to other tires. But strangely, it drives better than most tires out there except the PSS. I have no idea how Michelin combined comfort and performance. Maybe they sacrificed a bit of dry grip to do that. Other than that PS4 is really bang for your buck given how cheap they are going. Also my PS4 made in germany this time. Should have gone with a slightly wider tire for 240 bucks instead of the 230 I paid for the AS3.

Get PSS if you want absolute performance. Get PS4 if you want some comfort and some extra money to spend on a tank of gas.

i already on PSS

I find PS4 wet performance not so good. the car will pull to one side when cutting thru water "ponding" area on parts of the expressway on the right (Speeds at 90km/h - 100km/h). Not very decent for NSHW.

Wet cruising is okie (80km/h).

Wet test condition factor: Torrential Rain as per Last 2 week

Corner grip is good on dry.

Decent Tyre. Comfort is okie. Noise level is low.

Car: w212 E200. Staggered Config. 245/40/18 & 265/35/18

Mileage: 3000km.

Rate: 8/10

just sharing my opinion.

what were you using before PS4?

You should elaborate why you dislike the tire. Giving a one liner doesn't tell people why it is bad.

What tyres were you on before PS4?

What you are describing is tramlining, which is common for wide performance tyres. Some are worse than others, of course.

I'm curious... Which tyres have u driven in similar conditions with a better wet performance.

These few days I have been going through findings at 90kmph with a smile on my face each time.

On the contrary I trust more Thai made tyre than conti.

Not sure how these ang mo made rubber will stand up to the harsh climate here.

I tend to believe it's 好年tyre that is questionable rather than the place of manufacturer.

I used a nokian tyre from tyrepac before and it disintegrated during a run on nshw. I am lucky that it did not blow.

tyre went out of shape and the rubber seems melted away.

I have been using European Michelin all these years. No issue le.

I had Michelin Primacy slicing thru water puddle at 110km/h on NSH during heavy downpour with slight steering juddering.
