Cypher 4th Gear January 29, 2017 Share January 29, 2017 Actually there are MIC KU31 around as I am using them and actually not too bad. Just a bit noisy (expected based on the thread) but still ok for the price. I think you are referring to the KH31 which is MIC. KU31/PS31 MIV now.. http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2676967-kumho-ku31-versus-kumho-kh31/
Nzy Twincharged February 1, 2017 Share February 1, 2017 Have been on these tires for a week thanks to @Tianmo. Had 10000km on it when he passed them to me. These tires are comfortable and not too noisy IMO. My wife did notice the difference and mentioned that the ride is not as harsh even though I pump higher pressure than my previous tires.

sam3003z 1st Gear February 16, 2017 Share February 16, 2017 hello bros, i'm rather new here and new to tyres. Always keen to read in this forum for more knowledge. When you guys say ''better grip'', how do you actually test this? Hard cornering? At what speed? I'm currently using bridgestone gr100, a comfort tyre. I did cornering at 80km/h. Thought it feel ok. Not sure what i should be feeling.

Depress accelerator to redline. - If tyre screech or wheel spin, no good grip. - If no wheel spin and power away, very good grip.

You need to leave it in D, left foot on the brakes and floor the accelerator. And then let go.

Adrianli Hypersonic March 6, 2017 Share March 6, 2017 Almost any fwd/rwd car can make the wheels spin if you do this. Lol. Then lower the rpm by decrements of 1,000 rpm till no tyre screeching or wheel spin. E.g if 5,000 rpm, tyre screeching, lower rpm to 4,000 rpm. The higher the rpm, no tyre screeching = good gripping tyres. This is the most systematic way to test for "good grip".
