Just booked the Passat comfortline at $144,400 event unit.

30k omv car. Work out to about 13k dep per year. Close price to camry and accord and mazda 6 price.

Any mod or addon for the car to increase the accessories on the car?

Wow really awesome deal. If they offer me the Passat Variant R-Line 2.0 at $14,000 per year depreciation, I grab without hesitation.

1) Juddering wipers

2) faulty memory seat - a software upgrade solved the problem.

3) navigation database not avail - reported to VCS, did software upgrade but cannot resolve the problem.

That's all I can think of for now.

1 is just that the windshield is oily/dirty. Clean it up properly and it will be fine.

For point 3 you mean you are not able to update the map in the sat nav?

(1) I tried various ways. Got better but problem remains.

(3) I am able to update myself by following some guidance from VAGSG forum. However the sat nav cannot work sometimes, it is unable to calculate the route. This happened many times.

Still Acceptable,My Brother In Law Sharan always got Bulbs blowed.. [bigcry]

I just learn to accept.

Overall, it is a nice car to drive.

What about Engine Oil Comsumption.?My Brother In Law Sharan, used about 1 Litre every 5,000km.

I do not have any issue with engine oil consumption.

I only change out during the 15,000km and 30,000km servicing.

Why not stick to the brand new 17" rim first?

Shop will quote you low trade in value for the brand new 17" rim n tyres.

Maybe after 1 year then change.

AFAIK, there will be a gap of about an inch between the bottom of the head restraint and the top of the seat's backrest.
