This one:

http://www.torque.com.sg/3525/i-remember-my-pulsar/

Interior very spacious but very underpowered. Very popular back in 1983 & 1984. Sold like hot cakes.

I got mine brand new for only $27K. No COE at that time.

Also got my resale HDB 4 room flat near town for $55K at that time. Took only 10 year loan.

Gone are those good old days in Singapore. :TT_TT:

How to adjust the mirrors?

I owned a pulsar sedan last time. Then Toyota corona. Then picnic. Then odyssey

All drive nearly 10 years. Lol

Pulsar is priced similar as C4 and Golf 1.2

Profit margin is very high, at $22K for every car sold, based on $50K COE.

Tan Chong shd give the Pulsar a pricing advantage, and buyers will be more willing to bite. Just nice, somewhere in between Note DiG-S and Qashqai 1.2 pricing.

At such pricing, I rather save $16k and get the Lancer at $86K.

Wtf!!!!! What did I see?

101k?!?!

This is in the range of the ultra popular vezels.

Btw I happen to borrow my friends new lancer for a test drive.

The engine response is horrendous.

U stepped hard and it revved up and quickly drop rev again. U get what I mean?

Lancer comes in four speed auto. That is how it behaves, unlike CVT where rev is constant.

The lancer engine is probably unchanged. I remember test driving it in 2008 and I recall one uncle in the showroom calling it a motorboat engine lol.

2008 was using 1.5l engine.

But now using 1.6l engine.

But at this kind of pricing and made in Japan, cannot complain.

Yep I drove the 1.6 version. SLD plate.

Thought should be good.

It's not about the 4 speed auto. I have driven 4 speed auto which are much better.

It's the engine response and behaviour.

Indeed point a to point b bnb car MIJ this should be it. Mid 80 k

Every time I see a new lancer on the road I shake my head at the silliness (this is the mildest word I can think of to write here so as not to offend) of the owner. Edited by Nav14

Chris Tan seems very positive on the Pulsar. Even claims it drives better than the Civic Turbo. Wow....

Not surprised!

This is 10yrs old this year, all the changes are mainly cosmetic.

The whole platform are still the same as 10yrs ago.

But QQ 1.2 is under power, with the same engine as QQ, the Pulsar should be very nice to drive.

And from today ST review, equipment level are very high.

It is made for Europe market, not surprising on the handling.

This 1.6 engine are the same old 1.6 used since late 90s, just re-tuned and re-tuned many times to meet later emissions requirements.

Hmm Compared to the attrage?

I might still prefer the Lancer lol

Actually I didn't even know the lancer was being sold lol.

The USA civic hatchback driving characteristics is supposed to be good. Not available here though.

It's bit wider and even lower than the civic sedan here.
