No, this is 'high mileage' pan. Cook almost everyday even during non-CB.

Can see already slight burnt.

It is why I said pristine, most of such pans get disfigured after 3 to 6 months of usage, your is consider not bad, the hard burnt mark is quite  mild by that many months of usage

you have to invest in a good pan! good quality and it can last long. try to buy non stick teflon and use silicone spatula ( ofc heat resistant one ) dont use metal spatula if you dont want to scratch your pan..

I only ordered a work and a saucepan...never order lids.

If you looking for glass lids,  maybe next week can but from those neighbourhood hardware shops.

Anyone use Ikea pans ?

I have one of this, it seems to be a tad expensive, but the quality is quite good.

https://www.ikea.com/sg/en/p/oumbaerlig-pot-with-lid-10286422/

I believe the quality (and higher price) depends on the thickness of the base.

Have to go down and see yourself. For normal sauce pot this price is OK.

But

1. Non glass lid is fail to me. Glass lid >> metal lid in Asian cooking. U can't see what u are steaming or blanching or even if pot is already simmering. U don't put such pots into convection oven so no point also having metal lid.

2. Average thickness is all purpose.

Really depend on what u want. I have a thin saucepot (given by my mil) which I use for rapid heating for like blanching meats or vegetables. I have a normal saucepot which is all purpose.

The thick base ones. Best reserved for long cooking time soups (like double boiling esp). Take long time to heat up.

My saucepot is from tiger.

Due to this period, just purchased 2 frying pan.
1) Stainless steel 18/10, 28cm from Scanpan.
>> can be used in gas, induction, electric

Got it from Shopee during promo at S$55. Heavy and need time to get use to it.

2) Carote pan, Maifan stone with non-stick coating, 20 cm at $21.90 from Shopee.

 >> can be used in gas, induction, electric

I never hear of this brand before, but saw many buying and good review so tried. Not bad as it also come with glass cover and ladle. Quality seem good for the price.

what difference from other pan ?

the diff is it is  pricey, but after a while the non stick was damaged by my helper as well. I have since switched to carbon steel pan as my primary pan.

Yup, they “test” things to destruction. If the item can survived their abuse, it’s good stuff. 😁

I done a fair bit of cooking at home, it looks great for the detached handle for pizza making or use for other form of cooking method, my concern after few months of usage the mechanism may be loosen and lose it's grip, besides I had used Telfon pan before, the coating tends to wear off after 6 months + and I used only wooden tongs / teflon coated tongs.
