About the new Hyundai Accent 1.4 litre

'205' tyres would make the Acent severly underpowered & noisy ride.

The 2001 Accent had even thinner tyres - 155/70R13.

Probably a myth unless you have tried on 16" 205 tyres on your Accent.

Underpower is subjective to individuals too.

I guess drivers who are concern with pure Power will not buy a Accent to begin with.

The 2001 Accent is probably a 1.3L engine with SOHC, a far cry from the current Accent 1.4L DOHC engine too.

I'm getting ard 14 km per litre but then I drive only on non peak hours n with gradual acceleration, maybe that's why my fc ish good.

Mine also 14km/l, 70% highway 30% city. And OPC so only drive during non-peak hours.

Neutral Newbie

Hi,

thinking of getting this new Accent too, currently driving a 2010 Toyota Altis and my average is around 13km/l 30% city 70%highway, you mean the 1.4 litre new accent is only at 14km/l FC?

Does Accent has indicator to show the average speed of a tank/trip? If yes. Its more relative to show the average speed against fc

It has cumulative average speed. But you can reset it manually at any time.

exactly, it will be a more tangible reference compared to just FC alone. As interpretation of city/highway differs.

Quote average speed & FC, to have a more realistic comparison
