Esppppp 1st Gear April 18, 2016 Share April 18, 2016 For sharing only... Was involved in an accident last month. My car was stationary (at red light), and I got hit, causing me to hit another vehicle in front. TP concluded the investigation (with my video evidence) that the driver behind is at fault. My repair cost ~ $20K (car in workshop for 1 month) Front car repair ~ $4K MC - 14 days Medical fees - $2K plus I took no pay leave to offset my MC, and will be claiming against the driver who hit me. All these are upfront cash.... To be frank, I think the claim against that driver will be a lot, but if given a choice, I rather not be involved in this accident at all. The inconveniences caused is really a hassle. At the end of the day, I suffer since my car is relatively new (less than 1 year) and now the repair is not satisfactory (according to my standards). I will be wasting more time and effort to settle this. I can only sigh..... ↡ Advertisement

Esppppp 1st Gear April 18, 2016 Share April 18, 2016 TP has final say in assigning blame in this case? Gooo Die Mates! Yes, because the driver who banged into my car is sent to hospital directly, and thus this became a police case. I suffered injuries to my arm and trust me.... this case is damn sickening. Endurance201 2nd Gear April 18, 2016 Share April 18, 2016 If you highly suspect it is a fraud case feedback to GIA lor. http://www.gia.org.sg/public_enquiry.php Or contact 18004437283 to report insurance fraud.. http://m.todayonline.com/singapore/new-hotline-reporting-insurance-fraud I think it is useless, I had a case in yr 2012, it is for sure is a fraud! Just a small hair line crack on the Bumper, after I merely just kiss the bumper during a traffic jam. The claim amounted to S$10,000! I went all the way to CAD as instructed by my insurance company, but CAD will not pick up this case!

No visible damage also can claim $5k and the guy went to AD, not some outside workshop. Inside alot of things damaged. They claim that reverse sensor damaged, the bumper bar behind abit dented so change for safety reasons, reverse camera working intermittently and cannot repair bumper till like new so change to a whole new bumper. That was for something that we can't even see any damage at all on the outside.

Axela72 5th Gear April 18, 2016 Share April 18, 2016 if there is a crack, that mean there is an impact strong enough to cause the crack. MIne incident doesnt even have a slight scratch on the bumper. No claim submit from the taxi driver but turn out is the passenger that send me a lawyer letter to claim against me after 2 week later. Best part is I have a video showing all the evidence which that passenger even get out from the Taxi to kpko asking me on what has happened, and I tell & show her the hit on the bumper is insignificant before she walk back home. Just a hair line crack can claim so many things ah? Heng ah! he never claim me gear box, engine, rim, tyre etc..... ↡ Advertisement
