Honda DC5 COE car after more than 10 years of ownership.

Wonder if Honda will bring back the Integra's and S2000's, nice affordable cars for the enthusiasts.

WOW!! I remember your nick and your car from way back in the day when you were posting on various mods.... you actually kept it.... congrats!! Is it now closer to being a DC5 Type R with an auto?

Nice! Seeing a DC5 on the roads will always bring a smile to my face. Had the opportunity to drive a DC5 for 3 good years before moving on to a CL7R which I scrapped late last year. Both were sweet cars to drive. Thanks for the pictures and the memories! :)

Haha, yup! I remember his nick on the Kseries forum and SHC forum also if I recall correctly.

Beautiful car, much respect for keeping it on the roads and asking the COE system to go to H*LL  [:p]  [laugh]

Drove a DC5 (manual, Non type R) quite a few times, fell in love with it almost instantly, such a simple, mechanical connection between car & driver, easy to drive (was a new driver at that time), not overwhelmingly powerful (Type R takes care of that) but more than enough to have fun, chuckable dynamics in the corners (drve alot in neo tiew) and oh the VTEC.

My FD1 isn't as captivating as the DC5/5R, but it still retains the Honda feel, which I like, if the car was for my personal use alone (and not sharing), DC5 for me anyday , 5R/FD2R if I can afford [laugh]

The current Honda team of engineers shld take these old models out for a drive again to realign their understanding of what a good Honda is, cos the current ones, not working for me HAHAHA

Supercharged

Kept mine for a good ten years.

Great looking car and dynamics. I would have preferred more power on tap but it would have gotten me killed.

Miss my ride.

Towards the last few months, my gearbox kaput and suspension Macham no spring. Thoroughly whacked. See so many ladies driving it towards the last few years as the guys all crossed over to turbo.

Nice clean look. I miss my pre-FL too, sold it in 2008 when it was 5 yrs old. Lots of memories.

K20A paired with auto trans is a nice perky drive, the only drawback i recall was that you can't pull to the engine's stratospheric redline with the autotrans. I loved the fabulous change in induction roar with an ARC airbox when crossing over into vtec.
