perhaps you are the bad smell and you brought your bad smell into the car. try not driving your car for 2 to 3 weeks and the situation will definitely improve. no need to do anything

You need to find out where the bad smell is coming from first. Most of the time it's due to moisture which can cause bacteria or mold to grow.

If it's comomg from the air con then you can try two things.

1. Run air con at higest temp for 15 minutes or so.

2. Run air con at lowest temperature for 15 minutes or so.

Not promoting this product. But I found it to be useful. Spray on my mat like once in every two weeks. Bought at Autobacs abt $20. Can used for a few months.

Place charcoal all over car , if possible park under hot sun in the afternoon for one day .

Afterwhich , always leave couple of pieces of charcoal inside car , change once every 2 months .

I do smoke in all my cars , charcoal absorbs the smell , creating a very neutral smell that even non smokers cannot detect any smoke smell .

Worst thing to do is to use those air fresheners . It always create bad smell after a few months .

Yup if you spill something. On the mats or car carpet. Else why would there be a smell in the car?
