Currently reading this. On page 38/305.

Humour laced. About a dog in case it slipped your observation. Dog stories are often very heart tugging and because they usually go before the humans, heart breaking of sorts.

Bought it at 30% off list price at Parkway Parade MPH.

Was browsing thru the bookshop for something light, witty, not too angmo-ish yet not too heavy where one does a mathematical equation mentally with each paragraph.

I chose this because it is the type that i can read and stop and pick up where i stopped anytime i am free. Thrillers and detective stories i love/hate because i must know the end NOW. That means reading thru the night till i finish the book regardless whether i slept or ate or go pang sia, oops. Gross. Sorry.

Thats why i hate/love Dan Brown or Damn Brown. 😁😂😅😅. Da Vinci Code was done in 7 hours. Then go movie. Then read book again. Then ahhhh...more pieces make sense.

Yada-ing. Sugar rush.

Safe ride

Cheers

Currently reading this, incredibly good. Also I suggest to move this topic to hobbies, likewise for those songs, music, movies and etc, easier to find.

I can't believe I am posting in this thread. I hardly read books.

Right now reading this, not for the love of reading, but find it necessary for what I am pursuing. 😁 I got the friendly ebook version.

Reminds me of this poem

On Children

Kahlil Gibran - 1883-1931

And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, Speak to us of Children.
     And he said:
Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.
For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.
     Let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable.
