Honestly, SPH cannot afford to offend their advertisers, CnC is one of the big newspaper ad spenders.

Chris Tan I think is an honest guy, but for the bigger brands and their more important mainstream models, my observation he usually dance around the negatives. He has to keep his job mah.

I have test driven both the CLA200 and C160 one after each. Both price about the same. Surprisingly, the c160 though the specs doesn't look good on paper, it was a much refined drive than the CLA200. Maybe the engine, the 9-tronic gear, car build and insulation make it better.

Both the C160 and C180 have the same exact equipment and engine except for the lower hp. Price difference is about $13K.

Anyone had experience tuning up car HP at outsider workshop?

Dats a certain skills dat come with a few years on the job.

But I do come across chris slagging off some beemer, off hand ,can’t remember which model though.

Anwae, nvr realli fancy buying new, can’t stomach the depreciation.

Off topic,if u are looking @ a preown C180/200 ,do stay with the 9G.

The 7G or the earlier PFL w205 have some mechatronic issue but there again some PFL do have 9G tronic,MB overlap is juzz too complex!

Easiest way to spot a seven speed ,W205,is to search for the 7G tronic plate on the right side ,above the tail lights.

Most will have it removed or replaced with the letter AMG.

stay clear with those models or if yr pocket is deep enuff ,even with dis trying time.

take chris word for it & seriously look @ the onli A cats car with a RWD.

Good luck.

Of coarse it feels different ,different platform ,different engine.

Naturally the RWD will feel more engaging to drive ,once u got the hang of it.

U must be new to dis mb ,not many ppl will tune their sedan ,probably adds some
Intelligence Accelerator System to spice up a bit ,dats all.

MB does a master stroke in bringing dis package to the A category.
But there again ,with the market where it is & with onli a 5k difference ,reckon it’s a bit pathetic.
It gotta be a 5 figure & a bit more to be deem attractive.
Anwae 5k is no small sum but if u realli set ur eye on one,u must noe how to play with the paddle shifter?
U will be surprise how many owners dunno how to operate one  & nvr fancy trying it out too.
With onli 120 plus horses ,the earlier u learn the -&+ ,the better for u.
I guess ppl who buy dis RWD nvr realli x’perience one before but once u get a hang of it,it’s juzz sublime!

177k is list price, effective price should be much lower

C180 can get at $177K (after dis) before C19 CB so C160 shld be below $170K then

The effective price for the C160 is much lower than that.. below $155K before the CB.
