Just bought a 1 year old C-class coupe. 😃  Will there be problems if I replace the run flat tyres to non-run flat ones? Would like the ride suspension to be softer...

If you only drive locally, where help is always within a few km, then it's pretty ok. If you do a lot of long distance driving in M'sia, you won't be able to crawl to a tire shop so easily..

Best to get one of those gel tire kits as a back up...

My Mini stock tyre is RFT. Have been using non-RFT close to 4 years.

Even drove to Cameron with non-RFT.

Do Rem you need higher tyre pressure for non-RFT

hi can anyone recommend a mechanic/workshop at the bukit merah (preferably) or toh tuck area to do simple stuff like change brake pads for merc?

or is it better to go to C&C?

thanks!

for brake pads you can just go any workshop. But I would recommend chip soon at tampines. they are good with mercs.

Hi all,

I would like to ask if any bro/sis here, have repair/rebuilt the rear differential axle before?

Do help to advise on your experience, and which workshop is capable of doing the repair/rebuild of the rear differential.   Costing as well please.

Thank you in advanced.

care to share whats wrong. wanted to rebuild my w123 rear diff due to the extra free play between the pinion and the crown wheel. but no workshop wanted to have anything to do with it. as it is quite some work to shim to reduce the freeplay.

I go to VAG in Enterprise for my W212 maintenance servicing. Positive experience. Never changed pads before though, but coming soon as car is approaching 70,000km.

Its the dreaded aeroplane sound from the rear during cruising speed, from 60kmh to 90kmh.    Workshop diagnosed, not the wheel bearing.   Now using a thicker grade oil which reduces the noise, but looking around for a rebuild specialist, just in case.

Usually I won't recommend you to walk in for workshop, you sure need to wait one. Best is to call and arrange first.

Best is you tell them your chassis no, so they can stand by the brake pads for you also. so when you are there, they will just straight away change it for you. no waiting here and there.

The kopitiam near chip soon serve very good ayam penyet and nasi padang. If you go during lunch time, can go there eat also. haha.
