Mercedes Owners Thread

Mainly affected are MB diesel cars.

C&C don't bring in diesel cars.

PI MB diesel cars...... To be recalled to detune the engine (literally since emission defeat programming is basically just throwing any emission control out for sake of more power), good luck to the effort.

If I am a PI MB diesel car owner... I will not bother...and I will make sure they do not flash any update when I go servicing.  :D

hahah. of course. for PI cars, keep the power and pollute!

Oh yeah, forgot all about the new inspection requirements. It should be measured against the models' baseline emission specification right?

I wonder if they go by the specs submitted during homologation (if  LTA even bother to test the emission themselves at all).

meaning measure CO2? nah doubt they measure anything listed on the VES. too tough and difficult to implement, no manufacturer will also guarantee this after 2-3years.

my car jerks sometimes when i'm in gear 3 or 4, my foot is off the accelerator or break and the car is cruising and slowing down to 38-40km/hr. anyone have any idea what it could be?

my car jerks sometimes after I start my car when I', in gear 2 oe 3 and accelerating. I am quite sure this is called a transmission problem.

No, as I could still drive smoothly most of the time. I just traded the car in a few months back as it reaches 10 years. If you are still keeping your car for a few more years you should get it checked.

This might sound strange, but are there parts specialists who can order the standard front chairs used in the B or C Class?

They are really comfy, and I might fashion one into a chair for her in her bedroom...

Yeah ...although I don't know how much it cost exactly but given how a front grille can cost 1K upwards....I rather spend 2K on a herman miller

Just to share my experience, if you have the chance to get discounts by foregoing their nano coating and 'star polish' please do so. Cnc does an incredibly shitty job polishing your car (swirl marks and holograms) and the nano coating is a joke. They don't care about your car or have pride in owning the Benz distributorship. Get the discounts and go to an external workshop to do those properly.

Just to add, when u ask them to fix it they act blur or just redo with the same shittiness
