Is it worth to get Stinger ?

if you look beyond the badge then at that price point you are getting more power and practicality than its nearest competitors.

any clue if the FC for the 2.0 is average for the weight and size or does it do better than 10km/lt

around 8km/l will be a good gauge. but also depends on ur daily route, habits and mods.

Depends on driving habits and pattern

If gentle driver both are good cars, but for younger guys who like to floor the car and zoom zoom, then better not choose the mazda6

Honestly, cant really compare Stinger with Maz 6. Not just the price. its different level

I will go for the new 520Li

how much is that now ?

3.3 @ 200k brand new and double the hp of 520. if u want similar performance on a conti u have to pay a 6 digit premium for that badge.

You need at least 540i to match Stinger 3.3 powess. And even then, you can't get 510NM of torque...

Thats in solid diesel engine territory

G20 540 uses Version 1 of B58.

If 540 uses Version 2, 540 will have higher hp but lower torque.

Kia uses 2 turbo while BMW uses 1 turbo.

Driving a luxury brand car with low end specs is very demoralising... hahaha...

I am a fine example as my current car is a X3 sdrive20i (most on the road are the higher spec Xdrive30i)... its slow off the line and without certain function.  The seats are also not genuine leather.  I am trying to find "economical" ways to upgrade its power output.

I "upgraded" from a VW Passat exclusiveline which has nappa leather seats with front ventilation and massage functions , premium Dynaudio sound system in addition to 220bhp.... still miss my ex ride especially the full digital metering cluster... hahaha

My point is, brand is not that important compared to specs.... just personal opinion only.

its not about numbers now.

at this level, its the badge.

agree. and people are willing to pay 5-6 digits premium. honestly within the same price range i don't see any refinement in the entry level contis.

putting conti aside, at 150k price range for the 2.0 nothing in the japanese market comes close either.

you could get hot hatches like cupra or i30n at around the same price but u lose practicality.

end of the day. kia has done a great job in product placement. too bad many singaporeans are badge conscious.

twin smaller volume turbochargers are generally more efficient than a single large turbine.

There's inherently less turbo lag since the smaller turbines has smaller inertia and requires less energy to turn itself over. And since each volume is smaller, it can reach max compression much quicker than a single large turbo unit.

Superchargers are diff ball game though.

Which brings us to the obvious qns. How much is the new G20 540i in SG?

And how's BMW overall reliability and running cost?
