Tohto 113,401 Hypersonic June 16, 2019 I've found it's a good idea to start signalling left as soon as you've made the decision to yield. Then move over only after there is adequate space and it's safe. Signalling early has a few benefits. It calms the guy behind you down - he knows you're aware of him and that you're fully willing to yield when it's safe. You've also made your intent completely clear so he won't be tempted to undertake you. Moving over without signalling can be rather dangerous especially if the car behind thinks you're like 90 percent of the cars in lane 1 who will stubbornly refuse to budge. Two cars moving into the same lane can create a rather unpleasant situation. So always signal, wait and move over when safe. When someone does this, I almost always put up my hand in thanks. Predictability is the most important thing to achieve in street driving. In contrast to racing, where predictability and unpredictability must be judiciously balanced haha. My pet peeve is drivers who don't signal. Too damn many of them here. I consider them far more dangerous than "speedsters". Well said ↡ Advertisement

Just cannot tahan those driver that don't signal for lane change, turning.. Time to break out the good ol' fashioned hand signals. A bit OT, but I still remember my hand signals from basic theory days. Right turn is obvious. Left turn is stick finger out and make a circular motion like you're telling the driver behind he's gila. Stop is right angle hand up. But when I checked online, the standard gestures are quite different. In LHD countries, their turn left is analogous to our turn right, but their turn right is like our stop gesture. And their stop gesture is to droop their arm out of the window like our drivers holding a ciggie. I've attached our BTT guide here. And, for comparison, here are the signals prescribed by AMDK country: Why ours so uniquely Singapore one? Given how "international" our roads have become of late, what if there's a misunderstanding? Cheefarn 2,135 5th Gear June 17, 2019 Chey why take the trouble to rem all these? In SG, we use the ever famous international greeting hand sign. Works everytime too. You will surely get a warm reception back from fellow motorists too

Subie 1 Neutral Newbie June 26, 2019 I am keen on the stinger but was troubled by the creaks and noise in the test drive car. The sound was coming from the sunroof, doors and the boot hatch. I read from forums that these are common issues in the MY2018 cars. As the car is now into MY2019, are these issues already resolved? Can owners of MY2019 cars provide their inputs? Many thanks.
