The Spring Autumn to warring states period was defined by the splitting up of the state of Jin to Zhao, Han and Wei states. By then there wasn't many states that were left standing.

Imagine the largest seven major states of the warring period, 3 of them were born from the state of Jin.

Even at the beginning of the warring states period, Qin was contained by the powerful Wei which prevented the Qin expansion to the east. It was the brillant Shang Yang who changes the state of Qin and the weakening of the state of Wei in their expansion conquest that gave Qin a foothold into central China.

after qin shi huang die,

then come the 'liu bang' and 'chu ba wang' period

then the three kingdom period right??

Technically, the Qin dynasty did not die with  Qin Shi Huang; his younger son  胡亥 took power as Qin Er Shi for 3 plus years before passing on the reigns to 子嬰. The Qin Dynasty chapter came to a close when the latter eventually surrendered to Liu Bang who conquered the Xiangyang capital ahead of Xiang Yu.

The Han Dynasty was briefly interrupted by a Wang Mang (of 新朝), with the earlier known as Western Han and the latter part as the Eastern Han. The three kingdom period comes after that.

Fast death is not the scary one ...  the slow one were.

e.g.  - cut fresh off piece by piece till die , slow death

        - boiled alive

        - cut of stomach and pull out intestine.

        - watch radx picture till die ...... worst among all.

Marrying princess to Xiong Nu was a traditional tactic to have a cease fire .

This practice was already there b4 秦 or 汉 .

My view, 匈奴 were nomad ... farming maybe but silk was unlikely.

Today I learnt a new character- Shang Yang.

He was the key to Qin's success . You can say he was the one invented standard 法 for a nation.

Even after he was executed ... Qin continued to use his teaching to rule the country.
