I have just used one this afternoon. $60/, paid $43.20 plus two previous stamps for two pie/snack.

Bro, which credit card you use for payment?

I yesterday also top up $60.02, use the $6 discount voucher and pay by OCBC card...Final bill is $44.42.

Just want to check which card you using for payment? Thanks.

Bro, DBS/Esso Master Card which gives 18% off up front. Monthly fuel bill reaches $180/, $7 will be credited into the account.

1) Can ask for waiver by online method.

2) If reject, can call the customer care and ask for waiver. Generally successful

3) If still not successful, cancel the card

This time i had to call DBS customer care because online fee waiver was not successful and i always use this DBS Esso card for petrol.

luckily got approved otherwise had to cancel and maybe move to other petrol company with UOB or OCBC card promotions.

So not only DBS lose a customer, Esso would have also lost one customer haha

Ya, sure can exceed. Unless you WFH and seldom drive then maybe a bit difficult.

Every year without fail, my annual fee can be waived but in 2021, DBS very ngiao or hard up.

Tried everything from digibot, email, phone but still refused to waive.

Wanted to cancel but last resort called my Relations Manager to 'help out' or I will consider moving my investments elsewhere.

If 2022 still same thing happen, will really cancel this card and DBS services.

Exactly. Financial institutions must be the first to realise the adage 'Penny wise, pound foolish' literally, as one's relationship is not only through Credit Cards. There are lots of fishes in the ocean and there's also others that tie-up with petrol companies for cashback, discounts etc. So no big deal.

If they dont waive, can cancel the card and then later reapply as new again?
