Sian. What a damp squib. Say like never say. Way to completely miss the point LHL.

 

Frankly all I took away from today was: Govt decides everything, whether to demolish house, set up committee, take items to loan out. The individual, even someone as big as LKY, has no say. Govt overrules all. They can do whatever they want "in the name of public interest".

 

If this is not a set up that leads to abuse of power, then I dunno what is. All we need is one greedy leader and all is gone.

Since when have they considered the views of the public interests, e.g. increased GST by 2% one shot, ministerial salaries, building of casinos, 6.9 million population, demolishing national stadium and corporatised the new one, water fee hikes, costs of houses and cars, and many more.

"in the name of public interest" is probably either a saving grace to make them look good to try to convince people they are trying to connect the people, or sought the interests of certain group of people in the public sector that is only in line in solving their own problems.
