@Tkseah I chose kona cause I'm more into SUV style cars and like what was said earlier it sits just a bit higher

@Ricor3 my sales agent told me today that my car should be arriving in sg on 20th this month. Finally some good news for me though. Hope yours won't be too delayed

I wouldn’t even call Kona a SUV. More of a CUV.

And after a while you will realize that you ‘sink’ in the car rather than like a SUV where you sit high up.

Used to own a Kona.

Enjoy your new ride!

Regardless of sedan or suv, I always adjust my seat to the lowest setting.

I prefers to sit in rather than getting the bus driving feel.

Seems it's the guys that generally prefer lower sitting.. seldom see ladies in low sitting cars like the civic..

My missus took after me.

Sometimes I ask her whether she could see enough. 🤓

Actually I prefer high up like those Ford Raptor, Toyota Hilux, etc even though I’m almost 1.9m. 😁

Lao liao, easier to get in and out.

Yep true that on the CUV part. Actually got abit of suv shape but not really the height. But I'm quite impressed with the quality of the digital stuff and safety features.

But see how it goes... Hoping that the new Solid State batteries will come in about 5 years' time and maybe can change to EV then

I like the 1.6 turbo ., good power to weight ratio

Hi all. For those driving the kona 1.0 t-gdi manual, how is the maintenance cost? Easy to find place? since its not a common model.

@noobasty I’ve been driving the Kona for almost 4 years. The maintenance cost is on the low side. There are many workshops that can work on the Kona, depends on your preferred area or location.

Hi

Not sure if anyone replied to you. But one thing to look out:

- Check the clutch when doing test drive, especially when moving out in 1st gear.

Other than that, check for the usual wear and stuff plus the mileage.

For manual vehicle, the resale value varies (depending the market perception of this car). Given the current situation, the resale value for Kona 1.0T should be average for next few years down the road (about 7.5k -8k depre per year).

Fuel consumption is not bad , 14-15 km/l. Though that also depends how much time you spend on highway and city driving.

Kona 1.0 is definitely faster than all 1.6L NA cars, except Honda Civic EG6, Suzuki Swift Sport?

fit 1.5 9.9s

mazda2 1.5 10s

swift 1.0  10s

kona 1.0 is a 12s car

but i like the look of kona.

AD sold out on manual version, no chance to buy it.

Hey thats awesome man. Thank you so much for the prompt reply. Great community. I may just check it out 😃 road tax seems to be on the cheaper end as well.

You’re welcome! Yes in fact the road tax is one of the lowest you can find in SG. Less than $400.

@DylanChen Yes AD decided not to bring in due to low demand in the general market (but honestly demand is good among ppl who wants a manual car).

You still can consider a second-hand manual Kona if you’re keen.
