Lala81 Hypersonic June 3, 2019 Share June 3, 2019 (edited) My colleague bought the first batch of the current Insignia in Dec 2017 when it just fresh out in the market. He paid 165k for it. I have seen 1 SML plate private hire insignia and if there are more of it around, I am sure he will be damn sian. Anyway I observed Opel Singapore has this habit, price new model very high and when cannot sell, will sell as private hire, they did it with the 1.6 litre diesel Mokka. Anyway fast forward to today, the list price of the 1.5 petrol and 1.6 litre diesel if from 109k to 119k . I wonder what’s the catch? humanrace Clutched June 3, 2019 Share June 3, 2019 Sorry bro You can’t change what was previously approved If it is in the opposite direction, you won’t ask them to make you pay more too right ? that's not the point, VES surcharge aside.... The main issue is what has been done to tune to car to warrant a shift in C1 to B1. Is there any performance affected?

nywa78 3rd Gear June 25, 2019 Share June 25, 2019 (edited) Any Insignia owners care to give some feedback on this car? How’s the service and drive of this car. Thinking of whether to change to this car. Edited June 25, 2019 by nywa78

When I went down last week no more premium model and left only a few colours for the non premium model. When I ask further when will be the next shipment of premium model coming in, SE can’t really reply me.. saying don’t know when. Hoping to get the black colour, but no more this colour for both models Edited June 25, 2019 by nywa78

Wormee 5th Gear June 26, 2019 Share June 26, 2019 Heard from my SE that AG is clearing existing stock thus the low selling price. And ya, last week only left red and white Innovation Premium but were all snatched. Lol, 119k either same price or even cheaper than a Civic Turbo, u get a Conti car with well more features and tech. So at the moment really dunno what AG is playing. I'm praying hard they won't go bust haha. No new models coming in till end of the year. Think that's one of the reasons why they turn to fleet sales. There are 200 Crosslands (Gojek) and 1000 Diesel Insignias (Grab) running on the road. Cheers!

When I booked this model, the Mazda 6 2nd trim was more expensive, though now it has decreased due to the drop in COE. Test drove the insignia, quite a good car, but that’s probably because I’m currently driving a Cat A car. Wife said it’s comfortable and there’s a slew of safety features. Previous price was around $130k to $140k... got alerted when I saw the price drop so much. Hope all good is good though, as I heard about AG’s servicing story. The Insignia is still a GM product, unlike the Crossland. Its still the current Malibu under the skin, including the same 2L 260hp, 400NM engine and 8AT. The Insignia is nothing more than a real Yankee machine in German bodyshell. Many parts are shared de. And of cos the Insignia is aka Buick Regal GS in North America and China. So it just can't escape its american parents LOL. Yes u don't rely on Alpine for the svcs. It is much easier and cheaper to svcs outside. The only thing u need to take note is GM requires specially certified engine oil, ie DEXOS 1 or 2, and DEXRON VI ATF. These 2 are rare to find in SG but its still available if you know where to look. There is actually a workshop in AMK Autopoint that specializes in GM vehicles. And they do carry all the correct fluids and consumables so that your Chevy, Opel vehicles will run like new for a long time.

Cheefarn 5th Gear June 26, 2019 Share June 26, 2019 Wow... thanks for the detailed advice! Can I look for you when it’s time to service the car? Haha Not me la bro. I am just a superbly satisfied customer with them for the past 4 yrs. Their boss is a true GM specialist and he drives the current Insignia 1.5 too. Too bad not the 2L. We Chevy and Opel owners are the lonely lot in SG. No doubt our cars are as reliable as Japs ones or maybe even better, but we are often laughed at for buying zero resale value car and cars that are neither here nor there. PM me if you want their contact.

The looks has definitely improved and it’s physically appealing then the Mazda 6 or its equivalent.

Insignia is one of the better looking sedan in the market today but certainly be of lower resale value comparatively because of its lower popularity in sgp market . I dont think it is of zero resale though this is what a used car dealer would tell you when you are selling it.

Nothing illegal or dangerous, but was wondering what's his rush lol ↡ Advertisement
