Still2016 Twincharged September 17, 2017 Share September 17, 2017 I would take it with a large tablespoon of salt. By shear probability mass produced car will have the highest incidence. More useful if it is based on a particular country e.g. Singapore S some car models are not even sold in Singapore. Should normalized the statistics e.g. number of Ferrari on the road versus how many deaths Any major recall because of safety fault e.g. airbags Luxury cars seldom speed because have chauffeur Etc In short, the highest number of deaths in the car is too often the driver. Don't believe me go interview in LCK cemetery

Vs no.15 at 47 deaths per million. It does say ath about the car, or at least demographics of driver

Useless data. It does not factor in these criteria: -age of car -age of driver -Type of driver, Uber/grab (PHV) - Years of driving experiences -nature of crash (Poor vehicle maintenance, Did not buckle up seat-belt, Speeding / reckless, bad weather, road terrain) -Popular cars for different countries
Lala81 Hypersonic September 18, 2017 Share September 18, 2017 highly biased bah. All very basic cars considered for the States. Probably young people or people doing multiple shift work driving these basic cars, likely either youth or fatigue causing more accidents. (camaro maybe cos of aggressive driving and the trucks which maybe on quiet country roads or maybe even going offroad for the people out in the middle states)
Kzone 3rd Gear September 18, 2017 Share September 18, 2017 Sure there are external factors, but the article went by death per million. Top of the list Kia Rio topped it at 150 deaths per million. Vs no.15 at 47 deaths per million. It does say ath about the car, or at least demographics of driver fully agree. This list is not about the car with the most deaths or most crashes but death per million. Demographic of drivers the car attracts definitely plays a part but other than that, other external factors are even out.
