I think everyone in sg know volvo more than skoda. i consider volvo quite popular in sg. Given that skoda just reached sg on june, skoda has done very well against other conti brands including renault, peugeot, citroens, jaguar, mini, alfa romeo and opel which has been in sg for decades

Actually for the price its really good vs jap/korea cars.

Skoda is engineered to suit the Germans/czech, where cars are subjected to high speeds on the german auto bahn.

Compared to their jap / korean counterparts which are not engineered to constantly withstand the stress that comes with high speed.

Those are popular brands la.... Volvo is not popular in SG...

After they sold to geely and churn out their S90, XC90, their desirability and popularity has been on the rise.

Before that luxury cars was always the german big 3 for singapore buyers

Got nice looking screen in front of your dashboard and more... Come by showroom la to see it for yourself, special introduction to the new specs, limited units. 😁

Actually the safety feature you should push the management for is AEB, really useful in times of need

VC is gimmick lah. The novelty wears off quite quickly

That’s true .. but have to also consider dead pixel like lcd screens .. and the price of screen are not cheap.

but what other way to modernise it?

i feel like complicated watches , the old school still better

The Q7 that PA loaned me had VC. Initially cheap thrill. After 1 hr I was bored w the GPS graphics (who realli uses built in GPS maps when u hv Waze or google maps?). Much prefer the analogue dials as it gives better instrumentation clarity

What you say is very true, starting always playing around with the screen configuration, after some time.. it has been the same screen ever since

And a few more differences such as larger rims and spoilers. Well, it very much depends on the individual user needs and preferences as well.

I recently rented a BMW M850i in Germany with VC too. Hated it because there were too many things to look at and it was harder to find basic stuff like the rev counter and gear position.

Like you said, with Waze every car GPS is redundant.

And there’s a reason why Porsche still sticks to analogue rev counters.

by larger rims and spoilers, do you mean placing the 19" that was first provided and down size to 18 and now back to 19" ?

I rather have the Brake assist and the full safety rather then anything.
