Most ppl worry about reliability and resale value

But for skoda at least its covered 5 yrs warranty by reputable AD and resale value i think any car brand u sell to dealer will not get good value😜

5yrs warranty have fine print though. Last 2years only applicable if you stick with them for servicing, which costs more than double compared to workshops outside.

If I’m not wrong, all these will require homologation which will take a lot a lot of time including shipment (COE changes in that time span) and also translate to higher taxes, maybe even VES. As all cars are spec from factory and not locally fitted, so a new build is required.
This is my understanding.

Yes understand this, but could it done right from the very start, e.g a full spec car at launch.

Even at launch, buyers don't get their cars immediately, this is where buyers will can spec out their car and wait for delivery (est. 3 mths from build to delivery) This also gives time for the homologation process

Maybe in SG context it's more complicated with taxes/COE/VES and what not, but if Porsche can do it with their gazillion options on their configurator, I can't see why other manufacturers can't, but probably Porsche isn't the best e.g

Audi is another brand that allows buyers to select options but the downside is have to wait for a few months.  With COE, the waiting time may be not feasible for some buyers and ADs wanting to protect their margins may jack up the selling price and this will put off buyers.  So, I think higher end brands will let their customers select options.

if u have a gazillion dollars and time to spare , sure.

but the normal crowd that buys cars are like tuk tu chak market type of buyers.

bring whole entourage of father mother grand uncle n kids n maid to the showroom type n may not even remotely buy type.

else will haggle over everything including tint n full tank of Petrol upon delivery .

yet kanna con on insurance is ok n don’t even bother about the loan interest that will be paid.

Some Altis buyer juz wants A to B transport n can afford something better than a Vios. Nothing realli wrong w that as that's what a car is to some ppl. An appliance. Even rich ones who can afford a nice badge

U say Skoda they might give u a puzzled look n say they don't understand why ppl buy conti. Jiak yu n always overheat one.....

Provided that they paste 2 stamps, each on 1 pupil.

The new Altis looks like a dump, especially the side profile. Yhe interior is smaller too. The older model looks nicer and has bigger interior.

At this rate, even the Sylphy looks nicer than the Altis.

When a 8 year old car looks better than a new car, something must be wrong.

SCS don’t need to provide so many options for their cars. They only need to give us VFM cars, bring in good models and provide good after sales service which will make us want to go back to them when we need to change car can already.

Base off what you just mentioned, Scs is ready for on line car purchase that will strip off 4 to 6 k off the price vs what u physically do on site.

just tie up with DBS or Citi bank for loans and have a socket to connect to the insurance company.. just not sure how the folks will be able to sell their ride to contra the price of the car.

probably good for those that don’t need to borrow from Peter n pay to Paul type..

I know many will think it’s easier say than done. But the lazada experience for setup n sell is easily replicated and you can do a online review of lazada on the setup. Quite simple.

What's the difference between alcantara (kodiaq sports)'vs suedia (kodiak style)?

Not familiar with the material, is it kid friendly or is it hot to seat on especially car park under sun

If you look at the actual seat , it’s a different seat design.

Iirc both are artificial n is a pain to maintain unless you purchase the Sonax cleaner to “ease” the pain. But still a tad bit of energy to upkeep.

I feel SCS could treat this as "free" advertising.

Usually ppl who buy wagons are passionate about that particular brand. Since SCS does not bring in wagon they will have to turn to a PI or get the sedan.

Maybe if SCS is willing to mobilise its resources to bring in wagon on an indent basis without high markups, those wagon owners could end up being mini brand ambassador for SCS.

Hypothetically, if Skoda brings in an EV, will anyone here be first to jump at it?

Thrre points it can't sell

1. Will cost more than bba vehicle

2. Higher tax

3. Where to charge?
