what brake kit and anti roll bar is octavia currently using?

which workshop will you recommend to do the upgrade?

The stock brake kit is the usual GTi ones. A TTS or a R brake kit would suffice. . If you can get the part number of a Golf TCR brake kit, that would match the red callipers in the rear to keep it looking stock.

Highly likely the VRS brakes are the same as the TCR ones but without the slotted drill rotor.

The ARB depends on individual, but mostly H&R seems to be popular with the drivers.

Looks like Skoda still holding on to the prices of 89K for the ambition.

On a separate note, I may have spoken out of step on the brakes.  Any update to the brake callipers, Will require minimum of 18-inch rims. So need to ensure the offset is able to accept the upgrade.

Why does any 1.4L Octavia need to worry abt upgrading brakes to R or TTS specs?

some are more used to the stopping power of a larger calliper. Me for one have been saved a few times from PMD dash out ... so I will spend the money on bigger / larger callipers.

To each his own I guess...since PMD is no more, but there will be hand phone zombie a plenty since its not illegal to boh hui and just cross the zebra crossing without looking..

Then buy the RS245. Why tune a 1.4L running a dry DSG that's designed for economy and lower torque?

Actually from those recent batch  end 2017 and above .. those who were a little naughty do seems to indicate that the dry clutch does hold up .. anyway 1.4 don’t have launch control so quite hardy nowadays from previous batch before 2018.

but if die die still drive half clutch at the traffic lights then sure wear off quite fast

Usually the dsg up lorry cause it's tuned to handle way more torque (250nm) than they are designed to and of course creeping in traffic.

Give it a few years for those who tune and we will see how many up lorry. Still early to tell now even with the patches or rectification for the dry clutch that everyone seems to be claiming it's better now etc.
