For DSG and CVT gearbox, this HK guy below looks boring but definitely know the stuff. Watch his 4 videos if keen. Turn on the subtitle if do not understand cantanese like me. Chinese is manually subtitled so more accurate.:

Anyone thinks the new Scala interior looks very toyota? I think it's the same as the Gen8 Golf.

Other markets, Toyota use inbuilt one. Same as the gear stick

Oh scala still use gear stick thought like octavia use a switch button type

also toyota speedometer still using analog and their headunit also somehow feel like cannot integrate with the car. U cant change car setting at headunit, unlike skoda which can access alot car setting, toyota headunit merely just for entertainment gps and rev cam

Ya. 3k is  nothing.

There are 4 competing issues woth the discount

1. It an outgoing model for the octavia plus The new model looks way better then the out going 4 eyes look.

2. The volvo new model looks compelling

3. 15 k for tge margin of the 1.4t sems resonable while the vrs is asing fot 29k.

4. The direct injection vs dual port injector and i believe the lavk of valve lift like the vw seems like a step back.

The good build quality of 1.4t and the interior of the vrs is hard to beat. Unless they lelong like the golf gti, may take a bit more time to disposed of the stock.

But thats just my guess work.

Unless they dont mind selling at a loss.

SGCM basic cost includes COE.

So if COE is removed, cost is about 90k.

The Octavia RS245 MK IV is a MK8 GTI in a sedan/Wagon package 😁

I cannot say this often enough. The chassis is extended and the weight penalty and handling is different.

If you were to test drive a GTi and a VRs back to back, you would want to own a GTi and less of a Octavia . But the price point is hard to ignore.

The engine is Direct injection vs GTi dual injection.

Anyway, everyone has different criteria when it comes to car.

The Octavia looks like its been launch liao . I suppose once the Covid19 CB is lifted, it will arrive to showroom soon enough

Difficult to guage . If having a new model and old model on hand, would u launch the new and old together ?

Hand phone is different as they often will not cannibalize the biz.
