I guess u tested the 1.5T version?

Yup. No budget for the VES C2 and 20“ rims are overkill.

Wah wah wah, don't stalk me leh.

My car about time to change, cannot wait until the next generation Superb.

Looks like this might be the one. Almost tick all the boxes for me.

But if you know there is newer Superb, please do share, I am always interested.

Of course I must...waiting to welcome you to Skoda family.

But you keep waiting for new model....this time wait for COE...

等你等到我心痛。。。我等到花儿都谢了。。。

Totally no rush/urgency.
My car is 5.5 years, low mileage no issues (70+k km only).

I'm nowadays trying to drive like uncle actually.

Just test drove and placed deposit😅

The boom sound is there when I drove over small bumps on the road. Is it noticable? Yes. Can live with it? Can. But because it is quite low frequency, it's something that probably won't go away even if you turn up the music. But the rest of the car really quite impressive.

Could it be a characteristic of the rear torsion beam?

Just like you, I was also mistaken its detune. But in fact, its a different engine .

Plus with WLTP, the FC will not be as good as the 217 bhp version.

Just curious. So the 7-speed DSG on the new 2l Superb is wet clutch?

Unlikely... the problem exists on the vrs too, which uses multi-link. 7 years later and 58 pages in the briskoda thread, owners are suspecting either uneven tyre wear, the boot lid, but have not managed to find a solution.

It's actually not that bad, just need to get used to it. Apparently, the noise also exists in the Golf, and i have also heard it when i was in a toyota prius. When i brought it up to the SE during the test drive, he wasn't surprised, so it might be a known issue, just no solution.

Yes, the same 7 speed wet clutch used on other high performance VW / Skoda / Seat / Cupra models, such as Arteon, Kodiaq RS, Cupra Leon, etc. [thumbsup]
