Dealers take calculated profit most time with COE...

In addition, they also tie with Banks/Finance to get commission

Adding also Insurance tie ups

Not sure why LTA or Trade councils not regulate these in a fair and transparent way

Some dealer's premium is a s high as 70%.

Earning nearly 100k for selling a car with OMV less than 50k.

Don't how could this profit margin be justified.

Neutral Newbie

The number of bids received already at this time seem rather high. I think we will see a significant increase today, especially in CAT A.

It is still at $1. Is this normal?

It will remain at $1 until the bids received exceed the quota. Then the lowest bid which is still in the running will be shown, and it will move up until the bidding is over.

They prefer a free market system to generate the highest revenue

they have been fair  and transparent enough to openly telling us how many billion of dollars they have made from COE money annually.

COE Money can be easily calculated with the total number * prices.

Already transparent.

But the bidding process seems to be rigged.

We never know what's the highest, lowest or average bids.

Based on bids received as of now, CAT A premium likely to rebound unless something unusual happening .

The dust is set that CAT A quota is reduced about 100 in every bidding and VES in place before any changes in JUL, dealer will bid if they have orders before budget day .
