I remember in my days in St Michael's, lower primary, the teachers would make us all squat down in front of the drain to teach us how to brush our teeth.

Also, we would be free magnolia milk that came in pyramid shaped tetra packs.

There was a huge field in the school where I spent much time playing football. The fence had lots of plants and we would catch spiders and ladybirds, which were very common the. Nowadays, I have never seen a ladybird for decades.

And the milk comes in a variety of flavours. They have chocolate, strawberry and sometimes banana.

You are still too young.

Zhangde has been around before you are born.

I don't know why the school intro has this opening passage:

"彰德小学在1984年9月10日,继Chiang Teck School停办后成立" which is not true.

I think the second sentence as quoted in the following is more accurate.

位于甘榜巴鲁的ChiangTeck School创办于1923年。

Unless there are some histories behind which local historians need to do some honest work on,

to uncover the reasons behind.

there must be some reason why Zhangde was delinked from Chiang Teck... we were always told that Zhangde started in 1984, no mention of Chiang Teck...

I was from Balestier Hill West Primary. Then after P3, school closed down. And merged with Balestier Hill Primary. Was the last batch and school gone.

They tore down the old school building later and rebuild it. Now a new Balestier Hill Primary there. No longer has any memories of my childhood. Everything changed. Visited it during voting time, go there and cast my vote.

Posted some photos of my primary school here : http://www.mycarforum.com/topic/2659455-anyone-from-the-1970s-balestier-hill-primary-school/?hl=balestier

Anyone from Balestier boys school? Along McNair road.

When i was in secondary school, most of my classmates were from Balestier Primary and May Primary. They were also the last batch of students from Balestier Primary.

During secondary school, every Saturday we will go into the abandon school grounds and play football at its basketball court or the school field. Five years of memory playing football there.

Also memory of police came and warned us not to enter the abandon school cos we were too loud while playing football and the residents complained.
