Well US interest hike is likely in the coming month, as seen in all bank counter in the stock market gaining 1% everyday. What contribute to it, US interest rate hike.

Given most car buyers are buying through some form of loan, potential car buyer may bring forward their purchase..

My dreamy hope for a freakish fluke result at 4pm today.

Put my $2 worth of luck to the test today.

KYM?

Demand looks weak to me. Maybe worthwhile to go try self-bid.

Go to any car dealer you fancy.

Discuss deeply and sincerely with any SE for a car package price with no trade in car, without telling the salesman you already got a COE.

Once you know the lowest package price the SE is able to offer for that particular car.

Then just before signing the contract, show SE your letter from LTA showing you already got a COE on hand.

Then just tell the SE to slash from the package price the total of (COE Rebate level + $XX,XXX)

The amt of $XX,XXX depends on the type of car.

Cheap cars....maybe $10,000

Luxury cars...maybe $20,000

If all else fail, then buy from a PI.

What can we do when we self bid and got the coe?

Thought of trying my hand too, any fees involved? Can it be done via online banking? You bid 28889 correct? Edited by nazerath
