Nissan Latio and Sylphy are notorious for having ignition coil failure around the 10 year mark. I had a similar vibration issue and a computerised diagnosis pin-pointed to a number 2 coil failure. True enough, when the coil was taken out, I could see that it was damaged. I changed all my 4 ignition coils. I sourced my own oem coils and original Nissan spark plugs online and went to a recommended workshop to change. Total cost is $300 including labour. I reckon I saved quite a lot. Pm me if you would like more details. I am having the same issue with my 11+ year old Nissan Latio. Can you share more details on where to secure the ignition coils, spark plugs and the workshop. ↡ Advertisement
Gnahp Supercharged December 15, 2019 Share December 15, 2019 my wife called me from the car just now, saying the car is "shaking" she was panic but managed to limp the car home after listening her descriptions on what happened earlier, I suspect engine misfired I just came up from car park, my OBD scanner confirmed that 😁

You can even replace the ignition coils and spark plugs yourself. By the way I dont think it is about securing it, if a coil is faulty, you will have to replace the defective coil. You can replace just the faulty one, or all the 4, the coil should cost you less than $50 or slightly more with labour. If you ask me, just replace one will do. I went to Winter's Collision Repair Shop in Winnipeg and they fully checked my car and tell me problem in my engine that is causing my car to vibrate. So they have replaced the fuel in my car engine and then it is absolutely fine. So it may be possible that there might be some other reason of vibration in your car. Get it checked by some other mechanics till you are not satisfied. I will recommend you to visit the Winter's Collision Repair shop they will tell you the actual reason behind your car vibration. Hi Sir, we are in Singapore. Winnipeg is in Canada. Thousand of miles away. Enjoying the harsh winter there? ↡ Advertisement
