Should be bargainable..

Was 1055 at IT FAIR without gifts

This is the lowest they can go, I tried bargaining liao. Best the guy did was to give me free digital antennae worth $39. He said warehouse no stock so he is giving me reserved set. Seems very saleable. Edited by LPPL

This is the problem, 55" UHD LG model UJ632T selling $1629, 55" Phillips model PUT6102 selling only $998, both TVs to the naked eye I won't say the difference is huge. Phillips processing speed is 500hz while korean brands at that price is running at only 100hz with the former selling more than $600 cheaper than the korean brands. If the higher price is just paying for branding more than performance, I will rather go for cheaper and higher performance model, unless of course there is something about the reliability of Phillips I do not know, in comparison to Samsung and LG.

The Philip ones I checked out last week.

Various 55" at 1000.

Buy I found that the uhd compared to say LG loses out when viewed dude by side.

The LG uj632t was also selling about 1055 during the it show.

Level.

Gotta say IMO, the Philip 1000$ 55" TV's aren't very good picture quality, you gotta go for higher series probably about the 1400$ series for Philip.

Warranty ? It fair free extended warranty.

I ended buying Samsung 55" curved 4k smart. At 1349$ with freebies and 3 year warranty. 6 month free singtel sports.

The picture quality was what sealed the deal for me. It's better than the LG 632t set

If picture quality is important then people watch plasma.

Manufacturer make led cos cost is low and profit is so much higher.

I am just waiting for oled TVs in smaller sizes.

:D

The lowest spec plasma is better than the best led.

Manufacturers are laughing all the way to the bank.

Yours is classified under their UJ63xx series

The review i see until blur, local dimming n grey uniformity simi sai never heard of it.

The concerns on OLED is the burn in and image retention issue.

Image burning on screen i thought only old technology like plasma have it. They were saying if you watch channel 8 or 5 all the time, after a while you see that logo at the top right.

It's worth it.

Matter can only have 4 states.

Solid, liquid, gas and plasma is know as the 4th state.

I think your plasma is still better than a lot of led out there today.

Pure quality.

Turbocharged

I have a landlord whose plasma TV is more than 10 years old and still going strong.  The tenants have no complains and never even ask to change to a LED.
