Those who take the MRT, did you realize that the ride is noisier than before?

Found out from someone within that the replacement sleepers are concrete which does not absorb noise as well as the old sleepers which are made of wood. But the concrete sleepers last longer.

Another cost cutting measure at the expense of commuters.

Never provide free cotton buds ah?! Too much man. Cable ties so cheap saved so much liao still cant give free cotton buds.

If i have chance once in a red or blue or pink moon take train rides, most commuters either engrossed with loud blasting music thru 2 saucer-sized headphones or mini ones in their ears or head down looking like mobile phone will die if they take their eyes away type. Doubt they even realise its noisier than b4. At the rate they blast their ears with music, likely to be deaf soon, this generation ah.

Don't give them ideal hor. 1 call cost >$0.80, a good income opportunities for SMRT leh. :D

But I suggest they sell eggs instead, as more will prefer to throw eggs at the management team, than to vote for lousy services.

Oh yah, borrow a line from Fann Wong: “明年要得什么奖呢?” (what award would I be getting next year?)

careful hor.. after you kanna limkopi for threatening with a deadly weapon.

MRT reliability in Singapore on a par with that in HK, Taipei

SINGAPORE - The rail network continued to improve in the first quarter of this year, with all lines except two chalking longer distances between glitches.

Based on a 12-month moving average, the Land Transport Authority said on Friday (May 3) that the MRT network on the whole clocked 786,000 train-km between delays in the first three months. This is an improvement from 690,000 train-km for the whole of 2018, and puts Singapore on a par with reliability standards in Hong Kong and Taipei.
