Oh my goodness. I was expecting top notch service standards from BM/Lexus, but now this? Sigh..

 

So, how was the 1k and 5k servicing? How long did it take? 2hrs?

1k is change oil.

5k is do checks only.

 

Avoid sat. Sat is chaos. I bring car 8.30am and collect 12.30pm for my 1k service. Coming sch holiday will go for 5k.

 

But got free breakfast. If you need extra bf set, write it inside your request comment.

I discovered today that the traffic info function isn’t working as well, even after connecting to my phone WiFi hotspot. So many things, but .... Hahaha.

You so fast exploring. I have not touch the traffic info function yet. Use phone to navigate better cos more importantly tell you where is the mata hiding.

Completed 1000km servicing last Friday and confirmed a few things with the Lexus specialist.

GPS considered the latest update already, even though it’s 2018 version.

The apps is not functional for SGP cars, which renders the WIFI and traffic useless as well.

car vibration during idle is considered normal for ES250.

front windscreen is not water repellent, only the 2 front windows are. I’ll have to Glaco it myself.

Pardon my ignorance, if you "Glaco" it, will it interfere with the wipers operation?

Rather than Glaco, clean front windscreen with claybar.

As long as glass is clean, it will be smooth for running water.

I'm currently using the spray type which I have been using in my previous rides.

The Glaco windscreen was put to the test during the morning downpour today. Glaco was doing well but the wipers, Not good. Left marks on the windscreen afterwards. Those marks are the final position of the wipers before retracting, If you know what I mean... 

I had the same wiper mark issue earlier before the Glaco. I complained to Lexus during the 1k, they said it was dirty wipers. They cleaned the windscreen and wipers gilat gilat and said it would be solved, but just took a week to show up again. 

I suspect it's the wiper rubber deterioration now. Not surprised though, I'm sure it's the same wiper off the production line, The rubber will definitely harden and powder off. Going to change it myself after I come back in a few weeks.

Haha.

How bad is the vibration during idle? Do the engine stop lor or use hold function.

Font windscreen to me is water repellent. so ok for me.

Breakfast excellent, the service is Japanese standard.

Vibration is considered significant to me, I could feel it while holding onto the steering. However there are other features that makes the ride very much more superior, so I can live with it for now. 

What fuel are you guys feeding the car?

I on esso 95 since day 1. But last week backside itchy go pump spc95 using my new uob card. Disaster. Loss power. 

Later going for shell 95. 

Cant wait to try malaysia ron100 also.

When you use RON100, step hard.

As you are always on RON95, it takes longer time for ECU to adapt.

SPC fuel is noticably bad for engine performance, I have tried before.

But there are those who swear that zero difference. Maybe depends on engine. Simple 1.6l engine probably no difference.

Just to share, I've been using Esso 5000 since Day 1, simply out of convenience because the kiosk is right outside my house. 

Tried Shell V Power once for fun, could not feel any significant difference.

Then the last tank I pumped Caltex, no difference in feel, but the average mileage plunged quite significantly even though driving and usage style was largely similar.

Pardon my ignorance, but where to find Ron 100 in Malaysia?

Skip V power.

For RON100, step harder on your throttle.  I can feel the difference even for MYVI.

Ordered a ES250 luxury last weekend, waiting for next COE.  Hope I made a right choice ;), this is my first Lexus.

Any complains regarding the ride so far?

The all round sensors / 360 camera only works in reverse?  Any beeping sound esp. from front sensors during normal drive (e.g. in tight spaces ).
