I don't understand why must the turn signal lights be on the rear bumper. It don't add to the looks and is a safety concern.

Those taller vehicles behind you might not be able to see your intent, esp when the vehicle is nearer when stop at traffic lights.

Ya. Putting the signal lamp on the bumper is not an ideal level because it is not at eye level from other drivers line of sight. This is something I cannot understand about KIA designer also. Not that putting the signal lamps at the bumper level is nice or what, it just looks after thought. And yet the main rear cluster has location which suppose to be the signal indicators instead are reflectors.

Can earn more for repairs since bumper bang is most common accident damage... why not put lamp assembly there too? 😭

Putting the signal lamp on the bumper is a safety concern. if you are too near them you cannot see the signal light , you need to keep a distance to see the signal.

Don't pin too much hope that C&C will bring in the higher trim, given that COE premium is currently heading north...

What we saw in the press release (from Korea) are the top of line trim...

But this may be what we will be getting from C&C...

I see they still haven't re-integrated the turn and reverse signal back to the main cluster 🤣

Completely unlikely due to the necessary re-tooling required to close those ugly gaping holes on the bumper...

That small entertainment screen is not going to cut any ice with local buyers here... my guess is that they'll launch first and then find a locally installed replacement... or Kia Korea has some interim solution like an 8" tweener rather than that really backward 5" mono-LCD panel... in Singapore, even base trims come with full colour panels...

iirc, when i saw the cerato last year, the base trim didn't even have an entertainment screen. whether it was included or not depended on the SE offering it as a free upgrade.

but yeah, people would rather live with a traditional instrument gauge cluster rather than give up on a nice-sized infotainment unit

They need to bring the highest 1.6NA trim to match CN7 avante elite variant as that come with 10.25" digital instrument cluster and a slightly lousy 8" infotainment system.

Don't really mind if C&C yolo and bring one batch of limited GT version full spec with 1.6T + 7speed DCT. Haha....just my wishful thinking...

This facelift rear bumper is different from the pre-facelift model, so it is actually possible for KIA to mold the bumper without the holes, since they need to remold the tool for this facelift version.

A photo of the rear bumper pre-facelift and post-facelift. The molding and the shape of the lightings insert both are different, and so are the signal lights.

Oh yeah hor... a casual glance didn't register the difference... so they decided not to go the whole hog and change the design aesthetic...
