Hope Fed can do a good job! Even there is a recession, gas prices may not drop that fast. Maybe you can wait till Q2 2023. Looks like electricity price is going down. ↡ Advertisement

therock Supersonic October 21, 2022 Share October 21, 2022 Question bros: A fridge that uses 495 vs 575 kwH how much will the difference in power consumption cost? I saw two fridges, same functions, capacity and design, one is a two ticks and the other three, but the price difference is around $500 and my first instinct is that the cost difference is more than whatever electricity savings I'll make? Am I right?

A fridge stack to near full capacity relative to one less than 50 % capacity. The former would definitely be more power efficient than the later. Victor68 Turbocharged November 17, 2022 Share November 17, 2022 TP rate now is 27.30 cents per kWh. If you want the floating rate, it will be less 1% of SP rate. With the uncertainty, look like we are going for a very difficult year in 2023. Tighten your belt.
