With US printing tons of money (oil being denominated in USD) and the industry generally not making enough to make a profit, you should lock in 3 years.  Inflation is coming.

My retailers won't allow me to renew early, so I expect to pay higher next year.

I recommend to check if you can switch to 3 years fixed rate.

Seems can’t switch but it’s ok. Got 760 days to go. Who knows what the future hold. 😁

Nevertheless, thanks for sharing your knowledge. Appreciate it.

Signed up for Senoko energy for 2 years contract, with $100 rebate as my current contract with Geneco ending soon. Their renewal plan not as attractive for staying on thus switch to Senoko

Yes, 17.49C which I guess applies to all existing Geneco customers who are up for renewal

Thanks for sharing.

for my case, the $100 rebate from senoko based on 18.83c tariff is not enough to cover the  difference. in fact, it will cost more if I switch

@Voodooman would have advised you to sign for 3 years.

The rate has increased by almost 2cents.

I renewed with Geneco with lower than published rate for 24months.

Confusion reigns as Singapore's electricity spot prices spike
https://www.businesstimes.com.sg/energy-commodities/confusion-reigns-as-singapores-electricity-spot-prices-spike

BT article saying wholesale price hit.$1,514 per MWh, normally should be below 200.

Lucky I recontracted a few months ago at fixed rate. I hope my service provider doesn't go belly up....

I just checked SP Power App.

The cheapest rate across all Plans is $0.1958 (incl GST).

Risk $4,500 to get many 2 cent savings?

Kenna once the $4,500 and all the 2 cent savings gone.
