To those who always go JB, where to find the nicest chicken chop or western food in general? Just had two hainanese chicken chop at jb. Pretty good! About SGD5.

 

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

tapping on to this, my staff ever bought Barrel Chicken for me from JB ... its supposed to be wood grilled chicken.

 

chicken taste nice but the rice that came with it was terrible.

 

btw, any where else here got wood/charcoal grilled chicken other then kenny rogers ?

while you are there, you may also want to check out Hiap Joo which still uses wood fire to bake cakes, bread and buns. the bakery is famous for its banana cake and coconut bun.

as other poster said, Hiap Joo is nearby and also got roast duck

went JB so many times but never thought of eating western food there :D

 

most of time had "local" food like roast meat, curry mee, zi char and seafood

Got chicken chop for me, duck shop for the wife

 

and banana cake and coconut bun for the kids.

OT, there is a nice nasi lemak place by the seaside facing SG...

Where?

Hua Mui itself isn't a western food only joint nor is it a hipster cafe. It looks like a typical Malaysian old school eatery.

There is a huge car park next to Hisp Joo

I usually park there and breakfast at Kin Hua. Almost SG pricing but traditional taste that you can’t find in Singapore anymore.

Hua Mui itself isn't a western food only joint nor is it a hipster cafe. It looks like a typical Malaysian old school eatery.
