Altis definitely. Parts are easy to find and maintenance is not an issue. Although the other 2 models can be reliable, the fuel consumption still cannot win Altis...

Jazz is a much lighter car than Altis, you sure FC is worse?

Hi Guys

I'm looking to get a 2nd hand car once my COE is up in 2 months time.

Looking for a car that has another 1-2years left.

Narrowed it down to these few models:

1. Toyota Altis

2. Honda Jazz

3. Kia Forte

Would prefer the car to be easier and cheaper to maintain.

Appreciate your feedback.

Thanks!

Look no further, Altis it is.

Salesman talk lor, what else. Falling short of saying family 3rd car used to ferry pets for grooming.

Maybe yes or no. Mine I got 2009 Altis at 71k. As it was agent maintained, confirmed meter accurate. But b4 you buy over, BM wd not reveal anything. If dealer says car is agent maintained, chances are meter is accurate as you can break the deal if it is not so. Easy to confirm with BM after takeover. Bit given cat is not super gd(Can see dust on dashboard and wear) try bargain down. Also there are 4 mths for you to buy a COE. If you can get at 30k, depreciation is 4k plus per annum.

I think one clue is battery. Marked BM with date of last change. Not 100% reliable that's why it's a clue. Check for signs of accident like bent metal frame. Screws newly changed, all clues.

Looks like there are many Altis supporters here. It's a good workhorse that's for sure.

As for FC my current ride gets about 420km/tank so i reckon any of these cars would definitely be more petrol friendly :)

I nv say altis fc is bad. Im saying the fc is decent/average. Now many car makers improved their technology.

10yrs ago 12-13km/l is consider good. Brands like Nissan, subaru, mazda bb sedan can only achieve single digit/100km.

Now 12-13km/100km is consider decent only. U c many models can achieve 15km/l +, BTW I'm not talking abt hybrid cars.
