Saw the advert on ST yesteday.

V60 sure looks nice.

If OMV is 40k,I expect selling price to be 180 to 200k.

One is L size and this is M size.

Identity is Important but flair even more so .

Every model needs to distinguish themselves from the lines up.

S, M, L philosophy don't work for me.

V60 pricing is out, my guestimate quite accurate. Now waiting for S60, should be around 170k.

Someone forwarded me a SMS

S60 T4 M is 185k

S60 T4 RD is 195K

so S60 T5 likely 200k

Twincharged

This pricing cannot compete with C180 and XE

More likely closer to 170k

S60 T5 is $205k, the other 2 is as posted earlier and yes by SE of Volvo

Even with 20k off list price

It’s still overpriced compared to rival A4

Trouble with Volvo cars is the low OMV and the savings are not being passed on n in this era of transparency, buyers know how much margins are made n hence feel shortchanged. So unless u real Volvo fan, most buyers will shun high margin cars unless it so desirable n u r willing to see past this.

is this v60 considered to be low omv? sorry cos i not expert with these numbers

if i compare this t5 to a4 avant quattro:

v60: 37k omv, selling at 210k

a4 avant: 42k omv, selling at 260k

which one has higher margin?

v60 total basic cost 103k without coe, price quoted 210k with coe @ 34k, profit margin 73k.

a4 avant total basic cost 88k without coe, price quoted 199k with coe @ 34k, profit margin 77k.

audi shiok shiok, maybe people shun volvo cause of the branding as compared to 4 circles.
