Lol... You must be hoping for that to happen, i meant the open hands and open legs policy, how can it be bad for SG to have 5% growth. Huat ah!

The team is chartered with bringing to life a key component of the Microsoft vision - a Core Commerce Platform to support scenarios across consumer and commercial, digital and physical, via multiple channels and storefronts, globally. To deliver upon this role and vision, we interact with all components in the payments lifecycle; both internal and external. We are looking for a creative problem solver with strong payments credentials and a strong passion for innovation & ecommerce. In this role the candidate will have responsibility for growing existing relationships with key partners in the payments space as well as working collaboratively to identify and evaluate new partners that can enhance our customer’s payment options and experience. The role requires a hands-on approach to dealing with tactical issues, as well as the ability to think critically about the mid to long-term vision and requirements for our business. A successful candidate will have deep experience in ecommerce payment operations, with extensive experience in the South Asia and Oceania region and can demonstrate depth of understanding across payment methods, brands and form factors. This high visibility role will require collaborative engagement with internal stakeholders across engineering & business disciplines and will require superior skills in working with external partners and suppliers.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities Include:
• Principal relationship owner for specific payment services providers, card/payment networks as well as Acquirers and Issuers
• Responsible for identifying and developing partner relationships/initiatives that further Microsoft payment options and capabilities
• Identifying, assessing and integrating effective local payment solutions (including telco billing) for assigned regions
• Owning initiatives that reduce cost of payments
• Driving payment provider performance optimization
• Collaborating with engineering and product teams to improve purchase funnel metrics from place order to completion
• Responsible for negotiation strategy for both new contracts and contract renewals
• Resident SME for the payment types provided by allocated 3rd parties
• Monitoring and assessing changing competitive landscape among financial services entities
• Delivering and managing payment provider relationships and integrations globally
• Working and collaborating cross-functionally with peers and leaders within program management, software development, treasury, legal, risk, compliance, finance and Microsoft subsidiaries to deliver enhanced and consistent payment capabilities and experiences

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:
• BA or BS Degree
• Minimum 5 years of online merchant payments experience
• Minimum 5 years direct exposure to product and software development cycles and engineering teams
• Extensive industry experience in the South Asia and Oceania region

 

Desirable Skill sets will include:
• Motivated and passionate payments professional with a desire to constantly demonstrate and leverage payments subject matter expertise
• Experience with global distribution of digital and physical services
• Ability to think critically and work independently while driving for timely and meaningful results
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment where strong and impactful collaboration is critical and expected
• Demonstrated experience negotiating complex, multi-national vendor, merchant or other commercial agreements
• Effective communication skills for day to day work and for representing Microsoft externally
• Strong analytical acumen and ability to interpret and work with financial data
• Ability to distill a data driven course of action from complex and varied information sources
• Ability to travel as required
Foreign language capabilities with Hindi strongly preferred

Obviously capable and recognised internationally.. not depend on party spun fairy tales. 

The ONLY one I dare say can earn more without depending on govt and party connections.

has real work working experience and ground understanding. 

Is actually internationally respected. never known to create international incidents when he speaks.

let alone let you succeed him or her

 

should he succeed in taking over, you as a boss everyday worried that he may spill your beans 

 

i have not heard of a convincing reason yet as to  why he is not our future pm

 

for all we know he really wants not to be in politics, as in being the pm

Maybe his vision of Good financial governance will put him at odds with how some of those very very lucrative and critical positions are now awarded.

Maybe he just don't want to be PM, coz if he later become PM, a lot of things he need to dig out and fix these shit, which is no easy task due to the accumulation of it for decades.  From top to bottom. 

 

Or maybe his way of thinking is not align with the party in general. So PM Lee don't want him to be PM, scared later he PM go change 360 degrees on PAP philosophy..
