Hi everyone

newbie here and my first post :)

Following the COE bids. CAT A very fierce.

maybe i am asking a noob question here - is it typical for Cat B bids to be so low vs quota at this time (<3 hours to bid closing)?

I booked a Cat B car last week and hence monitoring the bids now.

Cheers

robin

Compare with last round, at 300+ bids at 1pm, it is already consider moderate high, not low... Cannot compare with Cat. A this round.

Action normally starts after 2pm. So, lucky u, most likely u sure get ur CatB coe. Now just 305bids for CatB only. However, after 2pm ur CatB shld start climbing but no woris la, very likely climb slow and CatB shld be lower than previous bids..

....... as for Cat A ..... HOLY CRAP! .. now 1.25pm nia ,,, 27K liao! .....  :nosebleed:

ADs' margin for CAT A cars at above 30K is very thin now. They are not spreading their bids because there will be a lot of backlogs. So better bid high to clear the first lot.

Why the ADs put in their bids so early today??? I thought normally they only start bidding after 3pm. But then again, today is not a normal day!! Already 2549 bids and COE at $30K. Let's see how high it will go!

Guess 40K should be easy to breach!. Last round drop 9K for CAT A, it will double up for this round with many disappointment .

Going 31k now...

Guess the rumor is true, last round got technical glitch and this time round dealers all scare hence bid early, the logic does gel now.

I think the technical glitch last round affected mainly the PIs. So maybe all this early bidding is coming from PIs???

I also interested to see end up how many bids. if >4000 means needs 2 more round to settle the backlog..

CAT A is very likely to be below 30K because Toyota does not have much margin to bid high due to most of their cars at VES C2 and selling at competitive prices. Nissan, Mazda have VES B cars also pricing at very competitive price, hence not much margin to bid high. Honda and Hyundai have VES A2 cars with good margin to bid higher. Overall, CAT A will not be above 30K.

CAT B may fall below 30K because most people went for CAT A cars over the last two weekends.

Who tell you Toyota not enough margin to bid high ?
