ManU 0 - Wol 0 (EPL - Home)

With new signing Bruno Fernandes playing in the number 10 position and having more touches of the ball than the other players, he had the only good try on target. Wolves were the better team in terms of possession and attempts at goal. Nil score at the end of the 1st half.

Evenly matched during the 2nd half with Dalot missing a good chance in the final seconds. Good performance by both AWB and Luke Shaw and early days yet for Bruno to settle in.

ManU 1(Martial) - Bru 1 (Europa League - Away)

A defensive error by Williams gave Club Brugge a goal in the 15th minute which necessitated Romero to come off his line, only for the ball to be lobbed over him into an open goal. Martial equalized when he robbed the defender from the halfway line to go one on one with the goalie in the 35th minute. More possession in the first half but nothing to show for and very apparent that Pereira, Mata, Lingaard, Matic, Lindelof and even Martial are only average players to be replaced by better quality ones, with some of them not even good substitutes for injuries.

The game was up a notch when Ighalo, Fred and Bruno came on for Martail, Pereira and Dalot from the 67th minute, which was too late to make a difference for the return match next week with an away goal advantage.

ManU 3 (Bruno-Pen / Martial / Greenwood) - Wat 0 (EPL- Home)

With majority of possession (83%) Martial blasted the ball into the stands after a good chance. A penalty taken by Bruno after he was fouled by Watford's goalie gave us the lead at half-time.

The second half saw Watford's goal by Troy Deeny disallowed after VAR confirmed a handball by his team mate and it was a magical moment from Martial after he dinked the ball into goal the second time after being blocked by Forster, and Greenwood made it 3-0 in the 75th minute off a pass from Bruno. A good game and Bruno's great positional play and assists should see better times ahead for a top 4 position. GGMU!

ManU 1(Bruno - Eve 1 (EPL - Away)

A howler by De Gea gave Everton the lead in just under 3 mins when he kicked the ball against the opponent from a goal kick which rebounded into the net for an early Easter present. However, Bruno equalised in the 31st min when he took the chance and scored with a screamer outside the box - great presence of mind and concentration, in contrast with supposedly the best goalie in the world!

Still a lack-lustre performance by the inconsistent Martial and OGS only subbed him at the 88th minute with James, apparently waiting for Martial to create a moment of magic which was to no avail but Igalo almost scored point-blank but blocked by England goalie Pickford. A last minute goal by Everton was ruled offside by VAR and got Ancelotti red-carded after the game for his protest to the ref. Both teams were well-balanced and a point each was a fair result.

ManU 2 (Martial, McTominay) - ManC 0 (EPL - Home)

Good pressing by City with 4 corners within the first 12 minutes to show for. A freekick by Bruno in the 30th minute after he was fouled saw him flicking the ball past two City defenders to Martial for him to slot the ball into goal. Bruno has been worth every penny the we paid for him as he's the playmaker in all our attacks, with AWB still keeping Sterling at bay (and in his pocket) like in the previous matches.

Two early subs in the 14th minute of the 2nd half by Pep for Ageuro and Silva with Jesus and Mahrez did not change much for City, followed by Ole who changed Williams for Bailly and McTominay for Martial and introduced Ighalo in the 87th minute, still provided the bite in attack and defence. A long-range shot by McTominay in the 96th minute after he saw goalie Edison off his line was the icing on the cake and we again silenced the noisy neighbour. Glory!

ManU 5 (Ighalo /James / Mata / Greenwood / Pereira)

- Lask 0 (Europa League 1st Leg - Away)

First round of 16 played behind closed doors due to the virus which allows us to use a lower volume and hear the urgings from the bench and goalies:). A good pass from Bruno found Ighalo inside the box, who turned the ball with 3 deft touches before scoring in the 28th minute. Both Fred and James need to master their finishing touches as they tend to balloon the ball towards goal.

With 60% possession in the 2nd half, James scored after 9 minutes into the 2nd half, with Mata making 3-Nil after a through pass from Fred. After coming on for Ighalo, Greenwood scored in the 93rd minute and Pereira then finished the match with the 5th goal. A five away-goal cushion and a foregone conclusion for the return match next Thursday. GGMU!

ManU 3 (Martial x3) - Shu 0 (EPL - Home)

A 6th minute goal by Martial paved the way for our dominance over Sheffield United, with Pogba starting alongside Bruno and Greenwood, Martial and Rashford fronting the attack. Maguire scored but it was disallowed for pushing. Another goal by Martial in the 43rd minute gave us the lead in the first half, even though Rashford missed a sitter.

The 2nd half started with Sheffield United making 2 subs and Martial completed his first hattrick in the 74th minute off a superb pass from Bruno. A one-off and simultaneous substitution by ManU for 5 players was just an excuse to exercise our passing techniques 😆.

ManU 2 (Ighalo / Maguire-Extra Time) - Nor 1 (FA Cup-Away)

Started in with Lingaard, Ighalo and Mata in front with Bruno just behind. A hard-fought game against Norwich which had to stretch to extra time, even though Ighalo scored in the 6th minute from a Luke Shaw pass and Norwich had Klose sent off for pulling Ighalo before extra time.

Again, Matic was pulling the midfield together when he came on for Mctominay. A closer step towards some silverware - GGMU!

ManU 3 (Greenwood / Bruno x2) - Brighton 0 (EPL - Away)

The trio of Rashford, Bruno and Greenwood supporting Martial in front with Pogba and Matic in midfield gave us the first goal by Greenwood in the 17th minute, making his tally to 13 goals this season. The 75% possession paid off when Bruno scored in the 30th minute to make it 2-0 going into the 2nd half, with Bruno scoring again within 3 minutes to put the game to bed

This match was essentially a training session for the lads, of which the eventual result made it all the more enjoyable.

ManU 5 (Greenwood x 2/ Rashford -pen / Martial/ Bruno)

- Bou 2 (EPL - Home)

A goal by Bournemouth against the run of play in the 15th minute woke us up as it was only a matter of time that Greenwood scored off a pinpoint pass from Bruno to make it 1-1, with his total of 14 goals this season. A penalty converted by Rashford off a handball gave us the lead and Martial scored from long range to make it 3-1 to make both their tally of 20 goals each at the end of the first half.

The 2nd half started with Lindelof replaced by Bailly who then gave away a penalty for handball after a silly back pass from Matic but Greenwood scored shortly after. A freekick just outside the box was converted by Bruno to put the final score at 5-2. GGMU!

Do Man Utd still need to buy Jadon Sancho with the emergence of Mason Greenwood? Greenwood looks like he will become a very good attacker either side of the flank.

What areas do Man Utd need to strengthen to compete with Liverpool next season? A quicker centre back to partner Harry Mcguire?

Always good to world class options if money is not a problem. Sancho gives that option. he is very fast too

They need a world class center forward and another solid CB backup

Jack G  from aston villa will also be an excellent midfield option, Mata and Matic 1-2 more years at most

world class options for every position and then they will ready to challenge

That sounds good but also sounds like a lot of money 🙂

I strongly agree with you, actually we don't need Sancho, I always believe in giving United young talents like MacTom, Greenwood, William and Shaw to have more game times, the others like Wan Bissaka, James, McGuire, Dalot are recently purchased players blending in well.

And Goodness what have we got, plenty of young guns and ambitious old guards, like Mata, Matic & De Gea.

we need versatile wingers right and left, minus the days of Giggs and Beck, where do we stand?

Plenty of up front options in Rashy, Martial, Odio supported by Bruno & Pog ( Optional since he is not level headed )

Come on U United fans, Victory over the Cherries was big step forwards toward 3/4th placing and in line toward Champion league .Ole Gunnar Solskjear did his work right so did the other asst coaches. saw the video clips of all the goals scored and it wasn't a sweat how it's easily done without the fans presence.

Glory to the new boys and a great come back to winning days ahead . . .[thumbsup]
